Breaking on Sky Sports that Spurs are in talks to bring back Pochettino .. not surprised given what's happened since he left !

Why would he go back? It's like if your mediocre ex dumped you so you start dating a stunning French supermodel, only for your ex to beg for you to come back.

Maybe he is deep enough to go for personality, not shallow enough to simply go for looks.

Err, this metaphor has quickly stretched to breaking point...

Not going back often doesn't work too. It's called football management.
Not quite sure what you mean there but there a few who've not had great 'returns'. Like Keegan, Mourinho, Pearson and just now Zidane. Sometimes best to just move on?

Poch going back to Spurs doesn't make sense. They're objectively in a far worse position than PSG in nearly all areas; financially, domestically and in Europe. He'd be leaving a club that are financially secure and have a great chance of winning a CL in the next 2-3 years for a club that are set to lose their best player and had to borrow money from the government during lockdown. Not having a go at them for borrowing money (though Levy's priorities spending money on a stadium he clearly couldn't afford was daft) but Spurs aren't exactly an enticing prospect for ambitious managers. Rodgers would probably turn them down to stay at Leicester.
