Conte and Zidane left their jobs.
reports spurs are going to make conte second highest paid manager in the prem.

Bruno is such a cheating sc*mbag. The falls over all the time - fair enough if there is contact but a lot of time, there is ZERO contact.

The way I look at these things is this, people underestimate european sides all the time but find that players like Fernandes are suddenly half the guy they think he is the minute a decent defensive shape is put up against them.

He was far too advanced, had no space and was anonymous. I dont think he touched the ball all of extra time.

Also if an manager is up on the sideline actively engaged I am not sure exactly how helpful it really is but I do know if he sits in his seat saying nothing then puts on defensive players it's all rather pointless. Ogs always strikes me as a guy waiting for something to happen rather than thinking how to influence the game.

Anyway the pens were not all great. Both keepers should have saved 2 or 3. Both were just guessing and half the time a guy was passing it home after then jumped out of the way. The villa real keeper should have saved to win the game twice where he got a weak hand to them and one he actually had his other hand on the ground rather than go two handed at.

De gea was poor but got a couple guesses right but villareal smashed them all home, he tickled a couple but had weak wrists. Actually his own pen was the weakest hit strike of the night.

The guy tried every trick and the ref ought to have booked him. He gobbled on the ball. Talked to at least 4 of the villareal players, stood out of the nets making players weight but forgot the basics of actually standing up and waiting for the strike.
I've said several times that he strikes me as a man who's just sitting on the horse rather than riding it. He seems an honest, nice enough bloke but I don't think he's a manager for this level.

yeah, he must be doing something right somewhere in training as the side is fit and keeps going but most of the time you see him sat on the bench wringing his hands hoping something happens.

the other thing is his side seems to set up in a totally different way to tuchel, guardiola, klopp get. They are a defensive unit that doesn't like to engage imo. they are reliant of massive space being provided by the opposition for Fernandes etc to operate in and most of the time that works, in england. this is why the most common result seems to be 0-0 v top sides.

It is just my impression. Long may he reign.

Bernabeu is currently on fire, literally!

Edit; what I saw was posted 16hrs ago, so maybe not on fire now...

Rashford again receiving a load of racist abuse online. As always, had someone posted copyrighted content it wouldn't have a chance, but people are free to be racist
That's so sad. It seems like all the wrong people get blocked on these platforms leaving the way clear for the real racists, sexists etc. to say what they like.

It's impossible to police. People have multiple accounts, block one and they'll just use another. All hidden behind fake IPs too

I agree to an extent. There are a lot of just idiots who think they are safe online. However there is no excuse as to why Twitter and the like will come down hard on any other infringement, so they clearly have processes in place

I understand what you're saying, people hide behind anonymity. Maybe I was thinking more about high profile incidents like JK Rowling who said nothing wrong but was closed down while Dianne Abbott can be as racist as she likes with no action taken. The police can trace offenders but they need to be made aware first. I don't use Twitter so I don't know how it works at all. There must be a report process on there surely.

They can only trace so far. If people hide their identity, they're unlikely to be found.

The ones that get "busted" are generally people that are either stupid or been a bit foolish with their comments.

Agree that there is no place for this behaviour and they should be dealt with. Just saying it's difficult to impose.
