Because there's a whole load of fake news on Twitter. The veracity and objectivity of the source is crucial.

I'm just surprised to see so many on here Bob, yet when Labour took a slapping in the elections it was like tumble weed. Sadly all the anti Boris brigade are out in force believing a guy who they have spent the last year calling a liar. He even lied today again ffs! The chair was quick to point it out and he back tracked.
    PS
I have come across Peter Stefanovic before (video) another one that I have never heard say a good thing about the government.
Same old moaners, same old rubbish.

They are all on PMQ,s for everyone to witness if thats more reliable. But i reckon you know that already. Theres nothing wrong with defending someone who lies mate, its each to their own.

I cant comment on the first bit as i wasnt here at the time nor did i vote. However i can comment on whats happening right now. Do i believe Cummings, experience tells me not to. Do i believe Johnson, again experience tells me not to. Both lie, both are twats and both out for themselves. What does concern me is the lack of any noise coming from Gove. That sneaky little snake will be altering course to suit the best outcome thats for sure.

If he's that much of a liar, Bob, how is it that most of the country is coloured blue?

Agree Gove is a good position because he didn't get mention (as far as I heard) but he won't ever be leader. It will go to Rishi or my mate when it happens.
Now all this stuff about lies (and yes I agree with Goldie on this). They don't refer to it as 'lies' and that word is not accepted in the house. Boris boosts and exaggerates more than most we should say.
    As for Spiderman...
Once you take away all the 'one liners' and what the MSM will sensationalise, you will see a bitter little man who has a dislike for politicians and Civil servants and wants to cause some damage because his ex employers sacked him. For me, what really tells you what Cummings is all about is the fact he now admits he lied about Barnard castle and that rant about Civil Service.
Was there some truth... probably. Was most blown out of proportion... most definitely. Will heads roll... probably not.

Because there is no credible opposition. Because people dont mind being lied to or that the lies dont directly effect them. Some who dont follow politics wont even know of these lies. Some, like yourself dont mind and some just dont care. The majority of people i know who voted blue were for reasons of poor opposition parties and immigration.

I feel sorry for Captain Hindsight... even with a bus load of ammunition, (pun intended) he was still ineffective at PMQ's.

I dont disagree with you Ellers. I dont think any heads will roll and if anyone is made a scapegoat it will be Hancock. The public who were rightly fuming at Cummings for his Castle bullshit will remember that and that only. They will think 'ah that twat who made up that **** story'. That will be their first thought and the government will get their backing.

Yes i thought he was too. Surely theres someone out there who can hold johnson to account. The one thing that Cummings said that was true is that its crackers this country offered Johnson and Corbyn as the main contenders for PM.

That's not true bob. People didn't vote Labour because they were cr2p. Sensible people didn't want our country run by a Corbyn government.
As you have always said 'All politicians lie', so you must be including yourself in that comment?

Would Hancock be a great loss? He can't even show real tears when he tried to cry. I think some time back a couple of us said he would be the casualty anyway. Maybe after this pandemic it would be a good time for a change.

Cummings spent today saying how thick he was and not good enough for the job... He is not as stupid as he makes out. Remember he masterminded the Brexit and election strategy. I don't buy all that 'I wasn't clever enough'.
As for Johnson, what exactly do you want? What do you actually think is going to happen?
Blair was part responsible for many hundreds of thousands of deaths in Iraq. He actually lied and was proven to have lied (not exaggerate). He had that kangaroo inquiry and I believe they also said he told porkies and his punishment was to make millions in after dinner speeches and still gets airtime on TV.

Hancock will be sacrificed I believe.

I am not upset at that, he was out of his depth..and that is not a political comment, he is not medical/ scientific enough.

When he was appointed, no one thought they would need someone who really knew what they were talking about.
    He was a yes man.

On a health concern; it would reduce my blood pressure considerably if he was removed.. so that would be one less patient for the NHS to worry about

I see some of what Boris says as seller's overstatement. The way our parliamentary system works, it's for the opposition to call him out. Starmer is no politician but he's no idiot either. He has the forensic skills to nail lies told by the other side. So far, he hasn't really laid a glove on Boris.
