You have just pretty much described what Pearson inherited at our club.

Mate, Facebook is not 606, I can only ask you to use your own judgement, put it up and if it's questionable on the human basic or forum rules we will deal with it but I hate censorship.

Watford have 8 in the same time frame and they are back in the prem.

His problem is he has new owners and the fans have turned, he seems (according to the fans) to be making exactly all of the same mistakes he made with us. There is a video of him getting incredible grief when trying to leave the ground on Saturday, he looked genuinely shocked.

The fans have turned because everything that was a problem with us has surfaced again. If he stays (and i'm not convinced that he will) he will have to hit the ground running next season.

    Changing winning teams.
    Changing winning tactics.
    Changing winning formations.
    Strange substitutions.
    Unintelligible interviews.
Far too much reliance on technology.
And worst of all incredible streaks of winning and winless streaks.

He also has another problem, the fans have turned on Wyke, their top scorer by a country mile 31 in all competitions, apparently there was an altercation with the fans after the game and he told them to f*** off. He is apparently leaving the club and was born in Middlesborough and started off his career there and of course as we know Warnock is looking for strikers.

It's amazing how history repeats itself, everything listed above is correct, the one major factor he achieved with us ( Not deliberately) was the splitting of the fan base, now he seems to be doing the same up there, I hope the fans up there avoid the disharmony we suffered.

To be fair Wyke started scoring since Johnson came in and adopted more attack minded football.
    Coupled with bringing mcgeady back.

He's also had a lot of injuries to deal with.

That said, he does waffle a bit, picks some odd formation.
4-2-2-2 which didn't work, and other strikers may of got more goals with the service.
Wyke missed a couple of sitters against Lincoln.

The "streaky" tag as you call him is a worry. Although we did seem to get found out sticking to a game plan.

My point being re Wyke, it is not easy to replace a 30 goal striker (if he is leaving) and Mcgeady is likely to be leaving as well, Mcgeady to Peterborough has been widely reported.

We had a better striker in Maja and might have gone up if we kept him under Ross.
    Wyke did nothing under Parkinson.
I'd rather keep mcgeady than Wyke.
Stewart looks a good prospect and I'm not knocking Wyke but I think his amount of goals is a testament to the service he was given.

Anyways, even though we have a new rich owner thats rebuilding everything stripped by the previous owners, its no guarantee of success on the pitch.
But it does give us an edge over most other clubs in the division and I doubt LJ will get another chance if he doesn't deliver next season.

I think he's earned his chance after 5 months and the proof of the pudding will be after this first proper transfer window and a good start next season.
    We'll see.

    No worries Wiz :emoticon-0148-yes:
All it was was a link to a BCTID (Bristol City Till I Die) FB post of a video of a group of Sunderland fans hurling abuse at Lee Johnson at the Stadium of Light, presumably following their defeat the other day.
Interestingly in the debate underneath, most people (City fans) who commented on it voiced SUPPORT for Lee, not because of his management, but because nobody should have to endure such unpleasant abuse. It didn't show those particular Sunderland fans in a very good light.

We were reported to have been looking at Maja a couple of years ago.

he was "dismissed " by mutual consent to save blush's … it was done this way to save face, owners wanted a new man at helm and new direction …. it was going to happen was advised on Monday last … they are likely to get in another "portugese manager" due to there being at least 10 in their squad [ first and youngsters] and do not wish to upset the apple cart … the chef that makes the custard pies is being kept on! I rarely read a newspaper but on Saturday there was an article in the sun which was about some of my friends regarding the new film about the Thai cave rescue …… So father in law gave it to me!
whether he has a job or not didn't say.... but I would say you lose your money should he not be named as a manager in next 7 days!

We have a few on this forum who would alos not be viewed in a good light for some of their comments about LJ in the last 4-5 years......

As there are those who over egg his achievements, make BS excuses for his reoccurring shortcomings, believe that somehow he was forced to accept the power of our CEO.

And also probably have barely watched a game over the past 2 seasons, to see exactly where the seeds of our current predicament were sown.

Apart from the obvious differences in present league status, history, the size of the clubs. Our current predicament and Sunderland's are pretty much a mirror image and can be traced back to mismanagement by owners regarding pretty much all aspects of the playing side of our clubs.

I meant some of the very personal attacks on him by some on here. Not you I might add, as I know how sensitive you get...

I agree about the personal attacks, they are and always will be wrong. The blame is with the owner, full stop.

Ha, ha, ha you are funny I only get sensitive with people, who clearly have barely watched for the past 2 seasons but somehow believe that somehow we had a decent squad, believing by winning the odd game here and there was proof enough of that and those who somehow thought that Pearson should have been able to extract more from them but without explaining how that was to be achieved.

If he is given a reasonable amount of time, he can live or die by his own choices, exactly like LJ and Holden did.

Will it work?, who knows but at least we have a clear change of direction.

He was a Conman, Made Broken Promises, Told Lies, Waffled, Exagerated, Failed his Targets, Signed 65 players, Blamed the length of grass, Streaky Performer, Won Nothing, Sacked by the owner.

    I admit I'm Guilty
