    Guess what.
I meant every word. Even though admittedly I hate Manchester United with a passion, but if they didn't exist, what would be there to hate? Having Manchester United around makes life interesting. I'm 100% sure every Liverpool fan would say the same thing. I reckon you guys would say the same thing. That although tongue in cheek you were hoping we were going into administration were delighted as we were when our buyout succeeded.

Even though at times I do mock your debt (well I have to have something to throw at you). I think its a disgrace what the Glazers are doing. The league needs ''proper clubs'' (and Gary Neville a Liverpool hater called Liverpool a ''proper club) at
the top of the table and not these ''new money clubs''. Thats why I was in favour of the individual international tv rights. Both Liverpool and Manchester United due to their global popularity could blow City and Chelsea out of the water, they may have money, but they cannot match that.
Thats something that has to be earnt, and Liverpool and Man U have earnt it, City and Chelsea have yet to earn it.

United are top of the table without individual tv rights. It is Liverpool who are begging Tv for more money

Fergie might bite every reporters head off and spit down the holes if utd lose but give him his due about his feelings on the subject of sick chants.

Dont know how many people know on this thread but Fergie and Bryan Robson attended funerals in the aftermath of Hillsborough.

Yeah, every word he spoke is true and are more than likely the true feelings of the majority of us. I wouldn't pretend to ever hide my genuine dislike of Liverpool FC but the reasons are obvious, mutual, and when it comes down to it we can all rub along. Just about!

We'll win tomorrow and KPR will revert back to kind no doubt. I was genuinely stunned by what he'd put on the page before. He must have had a few Guiness.

Guinesses? It's like sheep I think, the plural is the same as the singular

Probably, or you can say something along the likes of 'pints of Guiness'.

    What's the plural of moose?

Fergie is a legend and he treats the media and every subject as it should be treated. he pulls no punches so if he needs to be the **** he will be and if he needs to be calm, collected and praiseworthy he will be. He takes the piss out of the media because they do the same to every player and manager in the game. More should do it as it would send a message.

As for this subject he is as usual spot on. Liverpool HAVE to be in the league with United. Not only for the games between us being important to the fans of both clubs but its important for england and the footballing world. these games matter, people all over the world will wake up tomorrow morning or settle down late in the day depending on where they are and get that buzz about this game. not just fans but football fans of all clubs.

these games are football and these rivalries have helped shape the game for better or worse.

Guiness is like water - it should only ever be singular cos its continuous. Like you say, you should never say "one Guiness" or "two Guiness", but "one pint of Guiness" or "two gallons of Guiness" etc.

That's Swarbs' geekery of the day <ok>

That's not quite the same. You can say "one euro" and "one fish" and it's clear what you are talking about. But if you say "one water" do you mean a glass of water? A drop? A pint? You need to clarify the volume, as you do with beers like Guinness. When people say "one Guinness" in a bar then it's just assumed that they mean a pint, but it's not grammatically correct.
