Nah mate. Like morrisey is **** for example. so peeps who like morrisey often tell me to listen to the smiths and I have tried but I think it's boring droney sounding ****. And apparently they're one of the best bands ever.
Theres just music or styles people don't vibe with, I like house music, but I hate hard house, same for my drum and bass. I like it liquid and soulful rather than aggressive and farty bass lines over farty bass lines.
Same for rock I guess. Some rock tunes I fuking love and then there's some alleged classics I think are ****.
The Fall are (were) ****ing brilliant. Hard to compare them them to anything else really.
Supposed the closet comparison you could make is they are like a British Velvet Underground. It’s that a fair call ?
