Like I said bro, the rockets into civilian areas are ****ed up, whichever side are doing it.

You can't deny that Israel have ****ed Palestine up though. So I don't know why anybody acts surprised when they kick off.

So which one is it on the avi ? <laugh>
I'm not surprised at all. If I was a Palestinian I'd be firing rockets at Israel myself, no doubt. Same as if I was an Israeli I'd be bombing Palestine every time they fired a rocket across the border.

Israel have ****ed Palestine up because they are coming out on top of the power struggle for the territory that has been going on since 1947/48. The reason I can't put Israel in the same bracket as you is because when I ask myself the question of how it would be if Hamas had the upper hand then it would be the other way around for the Jewish people who would be suffering. It seems to be like it's either control or be controlled out there and for that reason I can't hate on one side or the other. Good luck to them both, I hope they find a solution that stops the bloodshed but I personally don't think it's possible.

Question...do Hamas actually represent the thoughts of the Palestinians people though, or are they just an extreme group, not really representative of the majority. Reason I ask is because Palestinian and Israelis seemed to be living side by side amicably in the same communities until recently (exc past unrest).

Also how did the PLO differ from the Hamas group of today?

Hamas were democratically elected to govern Gaza back in 2006, so there's clearly a mandate from Palestinian people there. Although the political make up of Palestine is a bit more complex than just Hamas. Governed by an umbrella organisation called the Palestinian national authority, which comprises Hamas, Fatah and the PLO.

Mentioned it earlier in the thread. But Hamas seems to be portrayed simply as a militia, when in fact it's a fully functioning governing body that is responsible for schools, hospitals, education, social services, financial aid,

I agree bro, there are factions on both sides who want to wipe each other out.

If it was the Palestinians who were being funded and armed to the teeth by the rest of the world, and Israel were left to get on with it using their Blue Peter home made rockets, then they would be the ones getting ****ing pummelled.

It's madness on both sides. I hope they can find a two state solution. Back when Shimon Perez was PM in Israel it really looked like a lasting peace was going to happen. Then came Netanyahu....

You’ll get two opposite answers for everything you ask about people in the region. People like Ponks will claim their views are clearly objective despite the fact that he was 4.5” deep in Corbyn’s ringpiece for the past few year, Spurlock will claim anything Israel does is aggressive and completely out of the blue, unfounded and unjustified and Fanwithnoname will claim he hammered 50 Israelis on his own down a back alley and got a 20 stretch.

Then on the opposite side, I’d justify a fight is a fight, don’t bring a pea shooter to a gun fight, don’t chat like your God’s will is deadlier than a barrage of highly destructive missiles and stop pretending like you’d be welcoming them with open arms if the shoe was on the other foot.

I’d imagine many Palestinians blame Hamas for their troubles but are too scared to open their mouths.

At least I've got 1/2 inch more than @Sucky bro

How you’ve deduced that Israel need funded by the world to take on Hamas is beyond me, their military budget is $20bn and that’s more than any Middle Eastern country aside from Saudi.

Their GDP per capita is one of the highest in the world, a truly successful country in terms of infrastructure, architecture, industry, innovation, medical and digital advancement, the list is endless and their neighbours hate it, because even though they have the same climates and conditions, they’re too busy fighting each other over religious differences to make any success of it.

Through FY2020, the United States has provided Israel with $146 billion in military, economic, and missile defense funding. Adjusted for inflation, this amount is equivalent to $236 billion in 2018 dollars, making Israel the largest cumulative recipient of U.S. assistance since World War II.

Today, almost all U.S. assistance to Israel is in the form of weapons grants. Israel receives $3.3 billion annually in foreign military financing (FMF). It also receives $500 million for joint U.S.-Israeli research, development, and deployment of missile defense systems; however, these anti-missile systems almost wholly benefit Israeli military needs. In FY2021, the administration of former president Donald Trump requested $3.3 billion in FMF for Israel, constituting 59 percent of the requested global FMF budget. Israel receives more FMF than all other countries in the world combined

Oh yeah, I can only see 16 teams on the premier league forum and Liverpool ain't one of them. I think they banned me for a couple of light hearted jokes, years ago. Any chance you can lift my board bans now that I'm a good egg?
