Biden told Israel to stop and Israel said fook off. Well not quite like that, but unless it does stop within days, it will turn into another humanitarian disaster. Israel need to be pressured into letting aid in, especially for the hospital(s), after all, Israel claim to know their targets with precision, so there is no reason to refuse it.

Absolutely, what these idiots don't seem to take in (Israel & Hamas), for every child that has to experience war and the death and wounded that come with that, it's decades of more misery - because kids will just grow up suffering the emotional scars, even hating, this will then lead to more future wars. I know people don't like my idea of Hamas sticking out the white flag, but it would be like the UK trying to take on China, there would only be one outcome. Hence why China can more or less do what it wants, because even the Americans are not stupid enough, to try and take them on. Much like Hong Kong and the student dissidents, probably all languishing in detention centres now, they put up a good fight, but again there only ever was going to be one outcome. What did the UK do about it, NOTHING, because we are only a small fish in a very big pond.

Yep. There's no rockets of peace. Every family member and friend of a person killed in these battles is almost certainly going to go on for the rest of their lives with hate in their heart for the other side. I'm not sure if Muslims would ever surrender because I think they see it as a sort of privilege to die fighting for their god. Although, the Japanese had a similar mindset in the 40's and eventually they admitted defeat. I'm not suggesting that Israel rolls the nukes out, btw. The UK will always be able to handle ourselves against threats from countries such as Argentina and Spain, but coming up against the big fellas we'll only ever be a support role for the Yank's.
Hamas were stealing it all not so long ago iirc, and that accusation came from Palestinian sources, not Israeli.
I think the Palestinians view (and those of a lot of oppressed people) is that If you don’t fight, then eventually you will be wiped out anyway. I know brb has mentioned the ‘white flag’ approach. And I think he means it in the context of the military might of Israel that Palestine are never going to be able to match. But Palestine is gradually being wiped off the map by Israel and Palestinian’s identity is being eroded bit by bit. So I guess their view is that if they don’t fight, then they might as well accept that Palestine won’t exist in a generation or two. A situation that is naturally unacceptable to them.
Yes, I will clarify that when I say the white flag approach, I litterally mean it to stop you being wiped out, but I also get that people will argue that they will be wiped out anyway. In regards to Israel and Palestine, my views are only humanitarian views, they do not suggest that one side has a right over the other for any reason. As I discussed at the beginning of the thread, I don't understand it all (but do more now). However, that does not mean that I won't have a view against people that hide behind kids or kill kids, I condemn them both equally. I just want someone to stop, so the killing of kids stop. Can't the men just go fight in a massive field away from civilians, the side that returns wins a i'm a bigger ****te than you medal.

An old mate of mine had a solution to war mongering leaders. Lock them in a room together, give them LSD and make them sort it out amicably. Keep feeding them more acid until they’ve sorted it out. Not sure it’s a solution as such, but I liked the idea
The British Armed Forces pack a punch. It's got the budget of Indias armed forces with a fraction of the manpower, it has a very modern fleet and airforce with a significant missle and drone stockpile. Invading a country like Iran, no. But it could certainly strike targets in the middle east and that's an impressive feat considering most nations can't even strike targets in a neighbouring country. Iran is a paper tiger though, UK soldiers have already taken Iranian ships before and kept frigates in Iranian waters.
Iran wouldn’t stand a chance, they’d be obliterated in a long weekend. Unfortunately for them wars aren’t fought on the ground these days, aircraft target communication infrastructure first, wipe their ability to communicate off the grid inside 24 hours and it’s game over before they’ve even flinched. Then I’d imagine Subs and Ships would target their military stations, highways, airports & runways, power stations, water treatment and supply chain (ports etc). And of course Israel would be happy to stick the boot in as well, given they’ve probably got the best Air Force in the world outside of The US.
