The stupidity of humans mate, especially the male species. I've not once said they shouldn't protest or argue for their land and rights. I'm just tired of seeing kids killed because people want to act like apes, but that's even an insult to apes, because humans are worse than the worst wild animal.

We are a destructive species, well some of us anyway.

Not only towards each other, but the world around us too.

Sometimes it takes a braver more gracious man to step back, to save the lives of others, while rethinking the way forward. It's not an end of the battle, just an end to the war.

Like owain glyndwr.....the English said sacrifice himself and save the others.....chopped his head off then done the same too the other freedom fighters.

You have to have peace at some point to move forward. There have been peace talks before and the only real solution is the two state solution. But Israel won't want to give back land that they've 'acquired' and some factions in Palestine will never recognise a legitimate Israeli state, so on it goes.

The problem at the moment is that the balance of power is so badly skewed towards Israel, they basically hold all the cards, 90% of the land and practically all of the resources. So they have a lot to give up if they really want peace.

And at the moment, it doesn't look they want it at all.

So a question for you. What do Hamas hope to gain, by lobbing what is now 3,500 rockets over?

I know it's retaliation, but its giving Israeli's the excuse they need to lob back with precision. It just seems suicidal on the part of Hamas, that it's leading to the kids getting killed.

You can put every argument up, why they are lobbing thousands of rockets over, but it's a war they can't win.

Blaming the US and UK government is not going to stop what is a massacre. Surely sticking up a white flag will gain more than it will currently achieve or they going to fight until last man standing

In answer to this, firstly everything @Spurlock said.

And add to that, how often do we talk about this issue? How often does anyone? Any governments? It's arguably the longest lasting most contentious issue in the world, but when do we talk about it? Last time was 2014 when it flared up, the time before that was in 2006 when Hezbollah fought with Israel. It's what brings the issue to the attention of the world and it provides that hope that this time it will force change. And as I've said a few times on here, I mean change behind the door, in secret, where certain brokers can get this lot into a locked room and thrash the **** out.

You may say that they can take the other 10%, but they're doing that anyway. Bit by bit, every year, unilaterally and without any oversight or accountability they are taking lad here, people's homes there, demolishing Palestinian homes in East Jerusalem and giving Israeli's discriminating rights to rebuild but not Palestinians.

Every seen the film Colors mate? There's a scene with Robert Duvall and Sean Penn and Duvall is teaching Penn about how to deal with the street gangs, and he tells him this joke about the two bulls...

Well mate, that's what the Israelis are doing... trying to fck 'em all. The Palestinians have a job to make sure they don't.

In the end there's no winning for either side, there's no losing either. The one thing the Israelis can't get away from is the Palestinians aint going anywhere, and the one thing Palestinians can't get away from is the Israelis aint going anywhere. The land may change hands but the demographics aint going to change. The irony is a one state solution will actually be a worse outcome for the Israelis, you just have to look at birth rates of each population to see that. Good luck keeping that as a Jewish State if that's your plan. In all honesty I hope they do keep their Jewish State, and there's a Palestinian State - two separate states where the identity of each is protected and eventually believe it or not, when a couple of generations are long dead and gone, they become allies - culturally, in trade and strategically.

I remember when Shimon Peres was in power. It actually looked like there would be a lasting peace emerging at one stage.

Since Netanyahu has been in power, it's all turned to **** again.

All I see on TV is kids being killed mate. Maybe those whose opinion are different to mine, should read back and actually try to understand that all I care about are the kids, if the men want to kill one another that's their business. I don't care about Israel or Palesitine, I care about the kids in an idiotic male dominating world. I go to the Zoo if I want to watch Gorilla's.

and then lose your land anyway.

you keep on forgetting one key ingredient in this and that is Israeli humanity. They’ve not shown it once and the locals don’t fight hard enough against their govt to suggest they care as a people. What needs to happen is the world needs to call it out for what it is. It’s an Apartheid country with Apartheid laws.

btw I think it’s very brave to set out to defend your home and family against guns and grenades whilst being armed with sticks and stones...what **** choices for the Palestinians. All this because the world felt like the Jews needed a homeland...once they got it they proceed to do the same to another set of people...unbelievable.

Shameful of the World to just be watching the show tbh whilst trying to justify why Israel is killing all these kids.

I've mentioned it before on this thread, gaslighting.

I hear you mate. I was looking on the news site earlier and was going to post pictures from there of the devastation and the real lives it's affecting on both sides so there's some human element to what's going on, on this thread, but decided against it.

Only thing I'd say is that the children are being killed every year there. It just doesn't make the news. Not having these wars will stop the innocents being killed but not for long as it'll go on anyway.

I don't want to piss you off by carrying on, so will respect your wishes and leave it there. I just joined the debate and was catching up <ok>

You're just sitting at home watching it on your TV, getting angry. Shameful on you for just watching the show.

See what I did there mate, you aren't achieving anything better, like me, you just have to sit and watch.

I care about the kids, you care about other priorities. I want the fighting to stop, you want Hamas to continue until Israel stop.

In the meantime with your priority over mine, kids will continue to be killed. Shame on you.

It's all just words mate.
