I know it's retaliation, but its giving Israeli's the excuse they need to lob back with precision. It just seems suicidal on the part of Hamas, that it's leading to the kids getting killed.

What have they got left ? They've had their land stolen, their water stolen, their resources stolen. They are subject to curfews, they have their electricity switched off, they can't travel outside of Gaza, they have no passports, they have no rights, young people have no opportunities. Their borders are controlled, medicines and vital goods are restricted. Their very identity is being stripped from them piece by piece as Israel forces it way further into their land, destroying their homes and displacing more people.

They've seen the world sit back and not only allow Israel to do this, but watched the world fund and arm them to enable them to do so.

So what do you do. Just take it, or try and fight back ?

How is any of it okay ?

This isn't a gender issue. This is oppressed people fighting back. I was watching an article earlier in Beruit, where lots of Palestinian refugees live after being forced from their homes. The two granddaughters of the family said they wanted to return to Palestine to fight for their country's freedom.

It's awful that kids and women are being killed. And it's awful that men are dying too. The whole situation is ****ed up beyond belief. But the one thing I do know, is that the day you give up and surrender to the oppressing force, you might as well be dead anyway.
