I dunno...I can believe this story. We have all said in recent years that he will leave eventually. I suppose the appointment of Jose was Kane's last hope of winning trophies and given what he has seen at Spurs this year, he must have lost faith completely in the club's ability to challenge for glory in the next couple of years.

There is the obvious point that, certainly between 1992-2010 Sky absolutely had a hand in unsettling players on Man Utd's behalf and were blatant with it (while Rupert Murdoch just so happened to have a 9.9% stake in Man Utd until 2003, which makes that arrangement more than a little dodgy...), but these days they don't go out of their way to tape up players on the behalf of one club and instead try and turn players' heads with the expectation one of their preferred teams would come in with a bid
