difficult to tell tbh as Israel are doing the counting and i think they may have an incentive to be economical with the actualite <whistle>

I heard on the news, Gaza had fired 2,500 rockets in a week. The Israeli defence system deals with most of them. Every rocket from Israel strikes.

Didn't Hamas use to be the PLO or were taken over by Hamas?

I can't remember right now, but there is a legal reason why you don't declare war officially anymore.

I think its because and official declaration means clauses are triggered and allies must intervene. For example if US officially declared war on Afghan, Pakistan would probably have to help them.
