Great wall of txt that said absolutely nothing. No, Leicester supporters were not happy with Puel in the same way that Spurs fans weren't happy (by majority) with Jose. The discussion is not about who's fans were happier with certain managers, it's about which club has had the better last 5 seasons. Explain how a perceived top 6 club "pushing" or "coming close" has had a better 5 seasons than a "plucky little club" winning 2 major trophies over the same period. I honestly admire your dedication to the Spurs cause but can't help laughing at the delusion you display whilst defending it.
I can't remember who said it about Aurier having value for PSG more than he does for us, barring games against teams so utterly shambolic as Sheff Utd a couple of weeks back, but Aurier is a player who would be great for us in European games but a bloody liability in at least 50% of PL games which is why Trippier was handy to have around (or the idea of Matt Doherty, not so much the reality of Matt Doherty) The problem is that the last eighteen months have demonstrated why having a FB for PL games would have been a really, really good idea since at this point I'm fairly sure our U18s would target us down our right flank knowing they'd likely get some joy out of it, as pretty much everyone else has
a measure of Spurs 'success' is a stock pic of a Thai girl protesting against the Thai government ... Polly put the kettle on ...
Actually it says a lot, starting with how Tobes' entire argument is complete bollocks, before reinforcing what my argument was that they insist on ignoring time and time again until they did the decent thing and "had" to say they didn't read my post underlining just how much bollocks they're talking as if that is a valid response Also, it has to be said there's a deep flaw with your Puel/ubermensch comparison: when Leicester's form was bottoming out in Ranieri's final months their fans weren't demanding Puel, however when our form was bottoming out under Poch the reactionaries were demanding the ubermensch very loudly That's my biggest gripe about our ex-manager: the people loudly demanding him really need to own their ****, as all the turgid football we played, all the toxicity in the squad, all the tactical seppuku from December-April does fall on them all because they're like Gollum where the mere mention of a trophy has them hissing from the shadows. In comparison, I don't think Leicester fans responded to their form dropping in Ranieri's last days by loudly demanding the club bring in Roberto Mancini or whoever As I have said, the key word is "sustained", as any club can have a season where things come together and then they percolate into midtable for three or four seasons, because the latter is why you use the phrase "plucky little club" to describe Leicester instead of a club who, at the start of the season, was heavily-tipped to be in the Top 6 and have gone above due to various clubs being remarkably courteous with not getting in their way
I wouldn’t argue about the comparison between us and Spurs, but neither of us have won a thing either. Personally I find it embarrassing that my club have failed to win a pot for 26 years, and seeing the likes of Lesta rock up and win the biggest 2 domestic pots in the space of 5 years, from where they started from only 13 years ago only makes that worse tbh. Only I don’t begrudge them their success, and it’d not try and create some odd narrative that our longevity somehow usurped their recent additions to their trophy cabinet, neither would I argue that if we were in your shoes we’d somehow had the better of the last 5 years, as BHIC has done here, primarily as it’s a laughable position. I’d argue we were the bigger club, but that means nothing in terms of recent tangible success.
First of all, maybe look up what the word "undersized" means, because that one clearly isn;t Secondly please log in to view this image Always good to stick with the classics, especially when you insist on keeping them so relevant
You're a fruit cake mate ... that's a pic of my mate's daughter who works in marketing / PR at the club and sent this to her dad earlier this evening (and him to me and a bunch of us) ... poignant for me as I was at her christening ... and was at Uni with her dad (and mum) ... levels.
I used that term as a piss take because you seem to think their wins are just flukes, they are not. Leicester have become a regular force in the PL and i am prepared to guess that most opposition supporters would rather face Spurs in an important game than Leicester.
So you're saying that it's not an undersized photo from Google Which is what I was saying we were posting Please, just once, stop acting like a child and try and keep track with a conversation. It helps, really it does
I think @Tobes has already linked the two posts together for you. As far as i know nobody has quoted or mentioned anything about this thread outside of this thread, paranoia is a dangerous condition.
When did I say they were flukes? I said they were a case of everything falling into place, and there's a big difference between the two things. That's why I brought up Wimbledon way back when: nobody can say their winning the FA Cup was a fluke (well, maybe some embittered Mousers do, but anyway...) because everything fell into place that day As for rival fans, that depends: in 2018 rival fans would absolutely have preferred to face Leicester than us because Claude Puel was doing a rotten job, so to say they have become a force is simply not true as the midpoint between Trophy A and Trophy B they were one of the midtable pack with a manager getting the worst out of them Now this season is a different matter, in no small part because rival teams figured out how easy it was to snuff us out in midfield because our transition play was horribly predictable and all they had to do after that was wait for Dier or Aurier to have another brainfart, but it also has to be said that rivals fans don't look forward to playing us in key games - more than we dread facing other teams in key games given our habit of knowing a win would take us into the Top 4 or close enough to it and we **** it up every time
