I think you’re being unduly harsh on the UN, and have misunderstood their function. The UN has issued 45 resolutions concerning Israel, but is powerless to enforce any of them. It’s difficult to enforce international resolutions without international consensus, and in this case the nation getting in the way of consensus is the USA. Doesn’t mean it’s not worth trying though.

So what you're saying is the UN is powerless unless America agrees, I rest my case.

I think part of America's problem is they only know one flag, and they think everyone should bow to it. Your great stars and stripes. I'm miles apart from many people that post on here, when it comes to flags. I think one identity is a bad thing, many would disagree with me ie EU vs Brexit. To me it's like cloning of the human race and eroding cultures, which imho is gradually happening anyway, but I'll be well gone before we reach that stage. Like I say that's just my opinion though. Even travel and migration erodes languages in to one form, generally English in the West. Humans are lazy, they will always go for a simplistic option than have to work at something. People will denounce flags but won't do the same with the EU flag, and there's your problem straightaway for me, because I see that as no different than the stars and stripes, using your own words, brainwashing indoctrination, I couldn't have put it better myself.

America has other flags mate, don’t you watch the news?

Some of them prefer this one, to be fair:

Wait til they add DC and/or Puerto Rico and have to change all of them. Some flag companies are going to be raking it in.

I knew someone would say that, so you didn't disappoint. Why you choose to turn my views into quoting me on the back of racist flag is beyond me. Maybe it's because I actually have an opinion and am able to give it without being racist. It's a shame you didn't respect it in the same manner I was posting it.

What? You said Americans are all devoted to one flag and I pointed out that some of them prefer a different one.
I didn't say anything about you being racist at all. I've no idea why you've taken it to mean that, to be honest.

You posted a racist flag, despite me not being racist. Archers followed suit by doing exactly the same. I find that insulting, I wouldn't think I would have to denounce the confederate flag, but hey ho, sorry for leaving the gap for you two to fall between.

So can I ask an uneducated question... Or two..

Why don't the U.N. Step in, isn't that what they're for?

And how come the Yanks ain't all over there up in people's grills? Why don't the go an liberate palastine? They love a good old liberation usually don't they?

Makes me laugh how the west picks and chooses who's worthy of freedom or liberation init

All those on both sides are happy to let it all burn until it starts to impact on their vested economic / political interests, once those start to be impacted they'll make a token intervention, diplomatic or military, which will quell it until the next flare up. Anything else being damaged is an irrelevance and just a Palestinian/Israeli domestic problem. There's no desire to actually and finally resolve the situation (which is near impossible anyway) because doing so would actually limit the investment and associated rewards they get out of being involved in the region so it's better to just let the cycle go on.

Ok.. But its rigged so they can't move without yank approval.

So a puppet it is... you just can't see the strings on this one <laugh>
on something like this you need all 5 members of security council to agree and that rarely happens on anything contentious be it Israel , Iraq , Yugosalvia / Serbia .

I didn't say anything about you being a racist or liking that flag. There was absolutely no hint of that in my post.
You're being paranoid.

I'd already predicted the response I would get, because people don't like reading opinions, and at the very least attempt to respect it. You went for the one thing that most annoys me racism. So I quite rightly took offence.

You expected a response and reacted to that, rather than the one you actually got.
