the others have grovelled , pledged loyalty to UEFA and its competitions which they haven't and up till now are still holding out foe ESL .
I doubt they'll get a ban simply because they are the biggest draw but they will get a much stiffer penalty than the other clubs. For two clubs in serious financial woes, it could have the same effect in terms of not being an option for Salah.

UEFA are spineless, the pathetic 1.6m fines are perfect evidence of that. They'll get a slightly bigger fine and percentage than the rest imo

because they are getting close to giving EUFA little alternative as the qualifying period ends at end of this month yet they still haven't said they have decided against the ESL . No way can they have them one foot in both camps imo .
The super league isn't going ahead so there's nothing to have a foot in , clinging to the idea of it is a different prospect.

Juventus have been threatened with expulsion from Serie A precisely because they haven't officially withdrawn from the ESL.
Whether they'd actually go through with it or if it's just brinkmanship I don't know, but it clearly is still an issue.

They are a paid up member of it, can't be in two conflicting affiliations at once.

The rules of said esl allow for it dissolving after june 30th.

The arm twisting and threats are like then police isolate a rioting man utd fan or two and get to pull their baton and beat them for a while before they can run back to the pack.

It's all a bit odd. There won't be a super league unless they plan on having a three team league. I don't think UEFA could cut them loose with no prospect of ever playing again. I don't understand why the 3 clubs are holding out either, for the same reason. It's hardly a stand off.

Because those that back out have to pay a fee, they are all holding on to be the last one and collect all the money <ok>

The league no longer exists.
I wouldn't be so sure about that. It may be impracticable, but it might still technically exist - the three remaining clubs certainly seem to think it does. The contracts were signed, and so clubs might still be liable for the withdrawal penalty that they agreed to, though no doubt the lawyers will be all over it.
Tbh, I've read nothing on this since it first came to light a couple of weeks ago, but I'm fairly sure that it's why those three are hanging on like grim death - they're so desperate for dosh they hope that they can somehow benefit from being the only ones remaining.

The joint statement from Juventus, Real and Barcelona in relation to the statement released by UEFA on 7th May says:
"The founding clubs expressly agreed that the Super League would only take place if such a competition was recognised by UEFA and/or FIFA or if, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, it was deemed to be a competition duly compatible for all purposes with the continuity of the founding clubs in their respective domestic competitions."

I don't know about anyone else but that to me sounds like the super league doesn't exist.
