Their goal lived a charmed life for a lot of the game, too. Villa should've finished them off a lot earlier, despite not having Grealish available.
If we had signed Grealish, @Dier Hard would be complaining that he was another Lamela and always injured as he has missed more games than Lo Celso over four seasons
It's way too early to write off Ancelotti, in my opinion. Give him another season to work on the squad and see where they lie then. Their squad still needs trimming and they've got too much deadwood to deal with in one campaign. My main issue with the direction he's gone in would be the reliance on very well paid, older players, which the club has quite a lot of. Allan, Rodriguez and Allan have all been good signings, but they're going to need replacing in a few years. Godfrey, on the other hand, was a very sensible transfer and they need more like that.
How long before Man Utd fans tweet racist abuse about those responsible for the latest shambolic display on the pitch?
BBC text on 55mins for Newcastle/that other team match says Xhaka very lucky not to get a second yellow card for a cynical body check. Seems this awarding of yellow cards is a bit random isn't it? I won't mention who the ref is.
The Man Utd and Liverpool game obviously has to be called off and both clubs relegated, along with Arsenal. It's the only appropriate response.
Comment from United fan “I have to say I was disgusted at Graeme Souness’s ill-informed pro-Glazer stance on Sky,” says Steve in Cork. “He said they improved the stadium. They haven’t. The last improvements were made after the Glazers took over but were planned and approved before that. Since then the stadium has been falling apart. When you see it up close it’s rotten and disgusting. “As for players, the Glazers haven’t put any of their own money in. They haven’t invested anything. The club has bought and sold players based on money it’s earned but when you look at when United have actually spent big money since Ferguson left, it’s only happened when United were outside the Champions League places. The Glazers are happy to sanction some spending to maintain Champions League football and keep the money rolling in but that’s it. It’s all about the illusion of success for the Glazers. They’re happy to do the bare minimum while they bleed the club dry.”
Souness also said that City's owners were there for sportswashing purposes, while Chelsea just had a good owner!
