Bayern Munich will face the German national team in a friendly game with the entire income from the match going to Bayern as compensation for Hansi Flick's departure.

WTF!

Got to help these poor struggling football clubs during these difficult times.

Aston Villa are fearing for the worst that Liverpool will snatch Watkins this summer. The Reds are keen on Watkins.

Apparently our wage bill is second only to city now. I find it hard to think we spend 40m more than both united and chelsea? If true guess that’s maybe why we haven’t been spending big in market.

City 351m
liverpool 325m
united 284m
chelsea 283m
arsenal 225m
spurs 181m

its balls. not accurate imo. City got done over in FFP and had to fess up but there is no way utd will all their earners are 40mil less than us. Same for cheslea, they are playing half theres squad 100k a week higher.

better player than they deserve but if they were charging 100mil for a player like grealish they would be charging 200 for him.

How would we "snatch" a player contracted to 2025?

Florian Neuhaus wants to play under Jürgen Klopp at Liverpool! Bayern Munich have pulled out of the race for his signature.

It’s in the audited accounts and is a matter of public record. It’s nothing to do with FFP. City stood accused under FFP of falsifying the genuine source of their major sponsorship income for naming rights and sponsorship from Etihad. With the accusation that the stated figure in the accounts was in fact partly funded directly by Mansour.

They were never accused of fiddling stated costs, you should let HMRC know if you believe otherwise.

If you actually look at the accounts, the difference between the 2 clubs is down to the number of non footballing staff employed. Liverpool directly employ about 400 more full time staff than City, they also directly employ circa 2000 matchday only staff. If you do the maths that likely accounts for somewhere between £15-20m p.a.

Which begs the question, do lfc have way too many non footballing staff if city are managing the business side with 400 less, or are city doing something big dodgy to hide the costs of some of their staff? Was talk few years ago of city being iffy with payments via a 3rd company to get round ffp

They were accused of that in the publication of the leaked e-mails ( Spiegel ? ) in relation to Mancini being given very lucrative "work" by an associated company but that sort of "fiddle" is always going to be pretty hard to prove .

PS Should have furloughed the non playing staff :bandit:

They’ll be outsourcing various aspects of the business as opposed to directly employing staff e.g. matchday security and hospitality staff.

<ok>

cool answer.

who is employing city's staff then? dare i suggest these are being employed out of a separate company or is there any evidence they simply have less staff in their world class amazing facilities that garry neville never stops praising ;)

Is there a separate line item in their balance sheet showing a payment to sub contractor that would balance this out?

That accusation was pretty pointless as the contract in question was before FFP came into effect and was more likely a tax dodge for Mancini than anything else.
