Of course they can, everyone is capable of mistakes. But, do I think the entire experienced coaching staff of a League 1 club, under an owner like KLD, would persist with playing players out of position or underperforming players if there were more suitable players languishing in the u23s? No, I certainly and unequivocally don't.
I agree with you generally but if Johnson and co looked at Younger's performance in that one half he was given and hauled him off at halftime because it was unacceptable I disagree with him. He didn't look any worse than any other player on the pitch to me and he was out of position to boot. Physically he looked ready too and I think Johnson has commented along those lines.
Neil too has looked pretty good from what we've seen of him, good enough to be on the bench occasionally and given the odd run out imo. In his position though the situation is less desperate.
