In his autobiography Darren Huckerby reveals his departure from Carrow Road did not go unnoticed down Portaloo Road and that someone contacted him in an attempt to try and sign him, but that was never going to happen. Why would any class player want to ruin their career at Ips**ch? Also if they wanted to try and sign a player of Hucks ability, we should go for players like Rooney & Torres
i'd suggest hucks is currently at a prime age for ipswich right now judging by the average age of their side... and he'd still get in their team...
No, too young, surely it would be a big risk signing a player that has such limited experience. I did hear somewhere that Jimmy Greaves is currently without a club.....
Hey Supers did you research that on Twitter! The average age of our squad is 24 Years Huckerby was ****! Did he retire when you got relegated to league 1?
Warky the dead chicken in my Avatar was sacrificed this morning...... Voodoo stylee Full moon then 13th.......Blame Yorkie for your clubs demise
the average age of every SQUAD is going to be a bout 24 cos people include all the youngsters who never play to bring the age down!! you only had one player under the age of 24 in your entire team in your previous match. in fact, 7 of your first 11 were over 30 and four loanees i notice too. really building for the future then... huckerby leaving was in many ways the catalyst for relegation to league one. giving away one of our best players at the time for free was crazy when you think we replaced him with antoine sibierski!! you might not like to admit it, but in the past twenty years huckerby would have waltzed in straight in to either of our clubs and played every week. he was bloody good.
Talk about lighting the blue touchpaper! He wouldn't have walked into any of George Burley's teams An average championship player at best.
Yes he would, and he was much better than average. Without Huckerby the side that won the title would have finished mid-table. Says it all.
so he wouldn't have got in the ipswich team but he'd have got in the liverpool and celtic teams - both of whom tried to sign him. o...k... you are saying he was average purely based on the fact he played for norwich, not because of his actual ability. pathetic.
i'm sorry, i don't understand your amazing joke. weren't coventry in the premer league when he played for them? they've certainly spent a lot longer in the top flight than ipswich, and as pointed out, he was sold for a small fortune. sometimes warky you are very strange...
Really good player for us, was the main reason we were promoted under Worthington, took a big pay cut to come here, took another to stay here, showed huge commitment and loyalty in staying when he could have left, and very quickly came to love the club. To be honest, I can see why a binner might not rate him
