World refers to planets. Ancient greeks knew about them so you can bet your bottom dollar that they were known about at the time the Quran was written.
No way?! But he's an ex-teacher! The boy is a loon, a loon living on Planet Bawsack. He'll be away flinging **** at and howling at the moon later
The Nobel Prize in Physics 1978 was divided, one half awarded to Pyotr Leonidovich Kapitsa "for his basic inventions and discoveries in the area of low-temperature physics", the other half jointly to Arno Allan Penzias and Robert Woodrow Wilson "for their discovery of cosmic microwave background radiation" Perhaps it was god's fart?
Yes. It's impossible for us to currently study anything that gives us any information from before the Big Bang. The origins of the universe are unknown and currently unknowable.
Universe itself? Laws of physics. What was there before the universe? Obviously still to be answered but rest assured the answer does not lie in religious texts.
Give it 100 years and I reckon man will have conclusive proof of how the universe came to be. I mean think of all the stuff we used to believe until science showed it to be wrong. My own view is that the universe is the result of the former universe reaching its limits and proceeding to collapse in on itself creating the big bang and the new universe.
I've got a cracking picture in my head of thefanwithnoname flying around the world on the Giant Lunar Moth, healing animals such as the Great Pink Sea Snail.
Jack - I 100% agree with pretty much everything you've said on the subject over the alst few days. I'm beginning to think we should stay away from these threads!
thats why I specifically mentioned the tafsir as i mentioned earlier in other bits heavens and worlds are mentioned as 2 things other quotes include (Quran 65.12) Allah is the one who created seven heavens and from Earth like them (of corresponding type); [Allah’s] command descends among them (heavens and earths) so that you may know that Allah is capable of anything and that Allah knows everything. (Quran 42.29) And from His signs He created the heavens and the Earth; and the land animals that He scattered in BOTH of them (heavens and Earth); And He is capable of gathering them (in one place) if He wishes.
Thats not my question jackie. I personally believe that it does but thats just me I see a lot of threads asking for proof of my 'belief' etc I just thought I would reverse the question if you will seems no one has anything
