After Tuesday's good performance and win against Swansea, we find ourselves 8th, and heading toward a comfortable end to the season. Dykes seems to have hit a scoring run, having scored 5 in our last 5 games, and also getting two assists against Boro. His form, alongside some good performances across the board, seem to have raised the spirits and given us a positive end to a season which looked, at one point, like it might fizzle out into a lower mid-table finish. Don't get me wrong, I don't expect us to do anything mind blowing given we only have three more games left this season, but it bodes well for the future. Winning away at Swansea was brilliant, but no resting on our laurels, as next up are league leaders, Norwich.
Norwich have lost their two (0-1 vs Watford and 1-3 vs Bournemouth) but thanks to their lead at the top and other results going their way, they have been promoted nonetheless. Here's hoping they are basking in the glory of promotion, and may let 1st position in the table slip through their fingers. They remain 5 points clear at the top, in no small part due to Teemu Pukki, and his 25 goals so far. Daniel Farke, their manager, is quoted in an article on their website as saying that, “We are greedy to finish the season is style. We are already promoted but we are also greedy to win the title.” In same article, he also implies they had a big celebration after gaining promotion, despite losing the match that day. Here's hoping there have been more parties this week, and they show up to the Kiyan Prince in a bad way.
Given that they are a Londonish club, and personally, I lived there for a couple of years, I'd be very happy to see Watford pip Norwich to the title...discuss.
Team news
QPR: Luke Amos, Charlie Owens and Tom Carroll are side lined with long-term knee injuries, whilst Geoff Cameron is a doubt.
Norwich City: Grant Hanley, Todd Cantwell and Teemu Pukki remain doubtful, but could feature.
...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!
