Mate there isn’t an investor in the world going to buy a football club for £2bn. These are companies with max £500m turnover and very low profit margins. The opportunity is very much at the middle to low end of the PL.

Actually don't the fans deserve to stay but get rid of their owners
That's exactly where the punishment should lie. Deducting points is not the answer.

They should make the fit and proper persons test for owners a yearly requirement. Any owner found to be in breach of the PL rules during the previous year should have to sell their stake in the club within a period of no more than 3months. If a suitable new owner has not been found within the 3month period an independent Administrator would be appointed to dispose of the owners share in the club at a price based on an independent valuation of the club.

By their actions the owners of the spineless six have shown that they are unfit to own football clubs. They should be disqualified immediately and forced to sell. If they refuse that is when to apply point deductions and fines.

When Swindon Town breached league rules how many divisions were they relegated by?

If the cap fits......
And L9 makes it clear. They have breached the rules. So the punishment should follow.

It can’t just be “ok you made an error” slap on the wrist. It has to be points deductions and I am sorry for the fans but that’s just tough.

Them fans have enjoyed the wins and successes out of the conduct of the owners and directors. It swings both ways.

They've merely suspended it and intend to have another go in the future.

They had assurances legally that they were untouchables in terms of any sanctions from their leagues or other competitions.

We need to get the glazers out..

Hopefully PIF buy Man united

This super league idea isn't over

They've just suspended it, so unfortunately the sports still at risk entirely.

There's not going to be a big takeover at nufc with the threat of such a negative change in the financial landscape at clubs ouside the top 6.

It's sad, but unfortunately pif will now buy man united, Liverpool or arsenal.

Man united were the club they wanted, but the glazers wouldn't sell. After that they explored othe clubs and found nufc.

The glazers now want to sell and there's not many rich enough to buy them.. The Saudis are and they're likley to get a cut price deal.

Saudi get to walse in and save English football while taking a crown jewel in the process. A showpiece product for its 2030 vision with a nice sportswash thrown in.

I hope I'm wrong but I don't think I am

There you go BTW

'reshaping the project'

They'll start selling the idea to their fans over time and then have another go if they get them onside

They need the Premier League clubs on board but they are reluctant because the Premier League is a much more valuable competition than Seria A or La Liga. They are right in saying that football needs reorganising so that more of the money goes down the pyramid, but this is definatly not the right way to do it, can you see these clubs giving away money to the smaller fish..... Maybe JP Morgan could give some of the $4 billlion to the Football League, There is more excitement at my sons U7 match in the Gateshead Youth League than there wil be at any of these ELS games if it ever goes ahead.
