If FIFA and EUFA ban them then they can do what they like, who do they have to answer to?I can see performance enhancing drugs becoming prevalent similar to American sports, allegedly.BTW They can have 2 teams, one for the PL and one for the ESL,lets face it we're not that far off it already.
Yes correct. But if they leave the PL and ECL then they also lose 200m in lost revenue. And would only play around 13-15 games a season.

That’s just not going to happen.

I can see some short term pain for them.

A negotiation proposal from Uefa maybe to merge the ECL and ESL in some form to suit all.

On a serious note though...the PL needs the big 6, without them it loses its pazzaz.

Take this board for instance...imagine if all the fans of the top 6 are removed, this place would be left with a handful of posters from PL clubs and loads from league 1 etc

naturally the views will drop, the edge will go, the games that generate the biggest Bantz would be no more...that will be the fate of the PL too.

sad really

Pazzaz? Who gives a **** about that ****, this ain't the superbowl ffs.

Sounds ****ing brilliant a league without all the hype and obscene money to me.

The new proposals for the CL is a farce as well, take Liverpool's match last night trying to qualify for the CL and get a top 4 spot, under the new rules they will qualify for historical reasons if out of the places and bump West Ham out of it and probably not bother their arses all season because they have no goal and in effect we'll have 2 pointless leagues, the PL and the ESL.I think we should go back to more mundane issues like getting our yearly hiding in Anfield this Saturday!

The way I read it. The top 4 slots would still be available. But the top 3 co-efficient clubs in Europe who didn’t make their own top 2/3/4 or whatever would qualify. Thus in your example West Ham
Would still make it. But So would potentially a Man Utd based on the co-efficient score.

I think that seems ok. Because if they don’t qualify again the next season their co-efficient may be low enough to not be in the top 3.

Fair enough,I think it just happened that Liverpool met the criteria this season:cheesy:

Don't think I've ever felt more out of love with football than I do right now :(

But if the ESL have cheerleaders like the Dallas Cowboys then I'm in.

Fancy dress, BBQ’s in the car park, marching band entertainment and VAR with accompanying suspense music over the sound system, cutting to a commercial break, before revealing the decision...what’s not to like. A full day out for all the family!!!!

It's still wrong that you could qualify for the CL finishing below teams that haven't (and not via winning the Europa) however you look at it ...

Let's all feel sorry for one of the Big Boys missing out on a season's cash cow? ... not me, I think that's great ... anything that helps spread the wealth should be roundly applauded ... not countered for the benefit of the already wealthy clubs.

Lol.

Even better, use your smart TV to vote for the outcome.

'Is it a Penalty kick ? You decide !'

So they leave the PL?

Or they stay and what then, they play the reserves?

Having thought it through these teams must have traded off the possibility of them being booted out.

Which I don’t think they will but it completely renders the competition pointless.

They're not leaving the premier league.

They're securing their positions financially and removing the business opportunity at all other clubs who might ever threaten them forever.

Clubs like Leicester, West ham, Everton shafted in the immediate future

I see what your saying and I agree with this angle also. I’m on the fence for the 3 co-efficient spots. There is still a massive risk for these teams to get those 3 spots so couldn’t bank on them.

I can see why they would do it. From a financial perspective.

It’s all about money money money.

that cannot happen. Here’s hoping the powers that be have a strong back bone and block it.

Somehow. I don’t know how.

God imagine in this meeting this morning with all the chief execs and masters and then Penfold is in the corner playing mine craft on his phone.

“Masters shouts, Lee get the drinks in”.

Lee responds “Yes master” (in a hobbit voice)

Let's hope we beat them... They're trying to stamp our clubs remaining embers of hope out of existence.

No slant on pool fans

Make no mistake mate that's the plan

Then the big clubs win. The idea needs to be shot down with no exceptions.
