I have the ripping yarns box set and Golden Gordon is my favourite. Watched it loads and it always rings true to me. First time I saw it I was crying with laughter. 8 bloody 1 <laugh>
doesn't seem like many others like it, i find it a shame had me in stitches

I remember an episode called 'The Claw' i think it was. Only one I have ever seen. It was on the end of a tape full Bilko's my dad had taped off the telly onto VHS in the 80's. I remember a horrible crust infected dying old bedridden man in it. Scared the **** out of me as a kid.

i've got all 6 episodes later box sets are without audience laughter which spoils them, i slam the doors when we lose but don't take off the hinges lol. The claw is hilarious also.

My favorite episode was Tompkinsons schooldays - "I was 17 miles from Greybridge before I was caught by the school leopard" <laugh>

Remember the ship in metalwork. The Ice breaker. Teacher "Tompkinson its supposed to be to scale". "It is Sir full scale" as it pans to him atop a double extension ladder. I cried laughing at that episode.
