If we can play like we have since January from the start next season...then add into it the "have to win this match" factor, which teams like Rotherham and Huddersfield have used to their advantage in the last few weeks.
We could actually get in top 6, with this squad...

But we need to keep going....
1. To encourage the board.
2. To encourage players like Dieng and Chair to stay with us next season.
3. To encourage good new players to join the gang.

Point 3 rather contradicts saying we could get in the top 6 with this squad.

I feel we'd need Dieng or someone as good, along with a right back and another decent CB.

Two great goals ( especially Dickies ) and a good win given the circumstances. Although it looked like two Boro players were offside in the lead up to Dieng's sending off.

Lovely goal by Dickie. It does have you wondering how a CB can keep a ball down and on target from 30 yards and some others struggle from 6 yards and less. Funny old game football as someone once said (repeatedly).
It’s a 12 point leap at the moment. But this league is nuts, so anything’s possible, with a little consistency.
Awwww Sb ... then you went and spoiled it with the “consistency” word. You know we don’t do “consistency’.

I've just watched it back. There was one player in an offside position when the ball was played, but he wasn't interfering. The player who Dieng took out, wasn't offside.

Think the red card was correct, not sure whether it will be deemed violent conduct or not which I gather will determine the number of games Dieng will have to sit out. Help fix his broken nose anyway!

Just before that on the Official's highlights it looks like Wallace was clipped on his lower leg in their box and from that should have got a penalty. Interestingly watching the live stream yesterday I thought it was a pen at first from a similar camera angle, but then they showed a repeat of it from another angle where I didn't see any contact at all, and we didn't appeal, strongly anyway. Different angles can give a very different views of some of these situations.

Missed the game yesterday but just saw the mini highlights, great win. What a goal Rob Dickie, if it wasn't for Dieng I think he'd be a good shout for Player of the Year. Second goal was decent as well, great cross from Dykes continuing his good form.

Happy for Joe Lumley to come on and make a massive contribution to the win as well.

I love that our team is still fighting for every point when they could easily have starting putting their feet up. A top 10 finish would be a brilliant achievement.

I am intrigued/nervous about what is going to happen over the summer re retaining our loan signings and the likes of Dieng and Chair.

I think the ref got it right within the current rules, but I hate the offside rule. The first player wasn't interfering at the time the ball was played, but then gets back onside meaning it's 2 on 1 with an easy square ball for the man in possession rather than 1 on 1. That gives Dieng no choice. I much preferred it when offside was offside.

Yes I agree Raving, and was thinking the same thing last night. It seems rather preposterous that a player can have a goal chalked off because his shirt cuff is offside, but in the situation yesterday the second player who was three yards offside can score in the so-called second phase of play.
I think the new handball rule needs changing too, especially in the penalty box.

Preach.

Agreed that the offside rule, including assistants keeping their flags down is a complete dog's dinner.
However, I do think Dieng had a choice not to race so far out of his area and made a very rash decision.

Quite the opposite Hoops... He could have got a 3 match suspension if it was deamed nasty tackle

Violent conduct = 3 match ban
DOGSO = 1 match ban

Must have decided the latter rather than the former........
