Yeh I can see that.

Like I said I didn't see it. I understand it would've meant something to those who did and I can respect that, but in my eyes her loss is no different to anyone else's tbh mate.
The whole thing was set out to be Covid friendly...

People desperate to get to a pub, or buy some cheap **** from Primark..

She is the Queen,,, think about that.

Sucky got a problem with people having time for the Queen on a day of her husbands funeral but he’s devastated that some woman from peaky blinders died

Both sad for me like...because my consciousness has reached them levels of contemplation but for Sucky that part of the brain is missing

It isn’t but wether we like it or not she owns us and this country so that’s how it is..we gotta watch her when she wants

She been doing the same bantz every Xmas day for all our lives...you should be used to it by now

Well yes then. What do you think the pomp achieves ? Phil didn't really care for any of it.
Correct, he didn't but knew that the eyes of the world would be on this show and it had to have the correct/minimum level of reverence to avoid condemnation.

What does the pomp mean to you then ?
What does the Pomp mean.

It means we excell..We should be proud that at least we can do one thing better than everyone else.

We have the castles, we have the uniforms, we have the bands...When it comes to pomp etc, well name me another country that gets close.

I'm not talking about any lack of reverence. I think he made it clear that he wanted it toned down.

So my question is why is that ? Did he see that the pomp and ceremony was over the top ? I think he did.

I think he saw himself as an ordinary man with a military background but never a royal so wanted to go out with respect but the minimum fuss allowable.

Off course... He was always 2 steps back from the HRH.

He was a man of your kind, wanted to look after the world....

First and foremost, he loved the sea.

yeah I think he tried to be down to earth as possible...probably why he said the most random **** at the most random times, like all of us because he just wanted to be him and **** the pomp...however he had a role to play...he was married to the queen

Not his fault Liz fancied him and wanted him for keeps
