Still though, if Adebayor and VDV are out, then that means most likely that Modric will be pushed up behind Defoe, making the center of their midfield weaker than ours IMO.

Parker isn't as good as Cabaye or Tiote, and Huddlestone isn't either.

Huddlestone out fairly long term I think. Would fancy Tiote & Cabaye to win midfield battle against Parker & Sandro/Kranjaer. I think as long as Simmo gets decent protection we should be fine.

that's what i was worried about with ober in front of him maybe move jonas over and have marv on the left but to be honest can see this line up

GOT to use HBA & Santon at some stage, both should be fit by now and both better players than whoever they're replacing. Unbeaten or not, maybe a little harsh to drop people but they are better players.

Invariably when players are listed as doubtful against us they always seem to win their fitness race. So expect VdV and Adebayor to line up against us on Sunday afternoon.

The luxury we have is that immediately following Spurs is a home game with Wigan the following weekend, regardless of what happens on Sunday we should be beating Wigan by two or three goals and adding to our points haul. Takes the pressure off a bit. I'll be happy with a point v Spurs and a win v Wigan.

VDV isn't that good. He doesn't get into their best team. Even with him and Adebayor out they'd probably chuck Pavlyuchenko up with Defoe leaving Modric and Parker in midfield. Modric and Parker > Tiote and Cabaye.

Modric is better than Cabaye and Tiote, but Tiote and Cabaye are both better than Parker IMO.

It'll be an interesting tie indeed.

Not really fussed to be honest. If we are going to have a decent season we are going to have to beat a quality team with quality players at some point, so why not make it Sunday? Would be a lot more bothered if they didn't have Modric or Bale.

This!!!
Every win we have had has been written off as poor defending, or poor organisation from our opponents. I would honestly prefer it if it was a full strength Spurs team. That way everyone will know when we win that it was us, it was Newcastle United who WON this match and not Spurs that just lost it.. And maybe someday we wont have to read about the players that left in the simplest piece of journalism. Happier times are coming.

Bring on VDV and Adebayor. Tiote and Colo have a taste for Madrid rejects.
