Match preview;
When this match was due to be played, on February 13th, Rotherham were 20th and we were 16th. Both clubs have had a very different two months since then. Rotherham have won one, drawn one and lost eight. We, on the other hand, have won seven, drawn two and lost four. We are now 11th, and pushing on for a top 10 finish, whereas Rotherham are now 22nd, six points from safety, albeit with three games in hand. In March, there was an outbreak of COVID at the club, with the BBC reporting they had 25 positive cases on March 17th. From what I can make out from the article, both players and coaching staff were affected, and had to self-isolate.
I want us to win on Tuesday night, but you have to feel a bit for Rotherham. An already packed schedule is only going to get worse for them now, and on top of that they'll have players who are having to try and get back to full fitness after being ill. On a more positive note, when I did the match day thread back in February, Brentford were top of the league, and now they are 3rd, and nine points away from 2nd place Watford, heartbreaking.
Another performance like today, and I'd hope all three points will be ours, and another couple of goals for Dykes would be splendid. Enjoy all those who'll be watching, I'll add teams news if it goes on the official, and as always...
...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
