Diallo has been a really good signing but I think we can all agree we miss Romeu dropping in between the CBs so the wing backs can bomb forward. How about putting Salisu as defensive midfielder against Leicester?

I would play Forster (or even McCarthy), KWP, Vesty, Bednerak, Bertrand, Salisu, JWP, Djenepo, Armstrong, Ings, Adams as the starting 11

We go into the game as slight underdogs. That seems to suit us right now!! We can win this!

Agree on Salisu. He is a good footballer who reads the game well, and I would like to think we could create a position for him that doesn't mean breaking the Bednarek/Vesty pairing - although .... no, they're as good as we get.

I can't see us winning a wildly entertaining match. I don't want a repeat of the League Cup Final when pundits agreed that it was a great performance from the losing team. I'll be happy if we win ugly, and if that means having a rock in front of the back four I'm all for it. Oh, and route one goals. I want the verdict to be that we played horribly and won, not beautifully and lost.

Armstrong next to JWP. Agreed Diallo just isn't quite ready for this type of game yet. Redders and Walcott behind Adams and Ings.

I think we're mashive underdogs

If we play anything like last night then i'd fear another 9-0, but having watched Leicester in their last match we could well give them problems with the long diagonal balls in behind.
It's important that we start the match well with high tempo and high pressing as that is our best way of winning, we rarely win any other way.

On this day, 18 years ago, Saints triumphed in a 2-1 win over Watford at Villa Park to reach the cup final.

The likelihood is that we won't repeat such feats this Sunday, but you just never know.

Here is my suggested team based on that Ralph doesn't do change even when things go badly wrong

Foster
KWP-Bedders-Vester-Bertie
Armstrong-JWP-Diallo-Redders
Adams-Ings

I kept Redders in because he was the only one last night really trying and dropped Theo because he was even more useless than everyone else last night

AT least they will all be good and fresh after the lack of effort at Baggies
