It’s Mc can’t for me, however that maybe due to ego prick tying his hands, but as has been said many times on here, he should grow a pair and either walk or manage properly.
Anyroad, if he thinks he had a tough upbringing, if I didn’t wake up with an erection on Christmas morning...
I had f*** all to play with

Me too ... it was never my own though.

Some piss poor posts on here.
I don’t think he’s a very good manager. As a person I have no idea and don’t really care tbh
But he has always come across as a decent bloke to me , but stubborn. As are most managers. Just needs to wave and things would be better for him.

Just a bit of a news flash really but we don’t play 4-3-3 and never have.
We’ve played 4-2-3-1 for some time now.
And I don’t like it.
Honeyman could go the way of Irvine who was a massive workhorse in the middle who went downhill as he had to try to do everything and cover a huge amount of ground. Sound like honeyman?
Smallwood is struggling now to keep it up. He was a passenger in the second half as he just wasn’t able to cover the vast amount of space he was supposed to. the Doc will be similar soon but he’s a fantastic athlete.
our two full backs are playing left back/midfield/wing and again are covering a vast area.
I honestly don’t know where it leaves us as he isn’t for changing. Ehab is heavily invested in him as a manager to prove he knows what he’s doing. this could all slip away from us very very quickly.
which is a shame as we have a very capable squad who should be getting promoted.
Nicely put Chaz and I can't argue with what you say. But it is only 11 versus 11 and we are in league one. We dont need to be a super team.
You make a good point about honeyman and maybe I owe irvine an apology as I felt he had stopped trying. Possible he was just worn out. We need to show a bit more class as fans and stop moaning and get behind the team and the manager, the allams ain't going anywhere.

I don’t believe McCann to be a good man manager or tactician. He doesn’t show any ability to change a game and he is very one dimensional whatever the argument of formation. He has handled the KLP business very poorly and caused much bad feeling. He does what the boss tells him to and should show a bit more steel. He is very cagey on wether he made the best of his career as a player. He admits though he could have done much better when at the Ham. He ****ed it up last year and showed nothing at Championship level. His only chance of redemption is to take this squad of very decent players he has and take them to promotion. Personally I don’t think he will do it but I will be very happy to be proved wrong.

He's doing well currently .. which gives him a bit of credit .. am I a fan ? Nope .. does he get out thought .. yup .. will he be a success in a higher league .. twt but I doubt it .. to be a good manager or coach you need to adapt and be flexible .. neither of which ive seen him do . So like it or not .. I'm in the McCant camp

Mc can can in league one, but can can he do it the chump? I guess it's out of his hands if the can.

There was no excusing last season, it was poor and even he will be the first to admit that he was lucky to remain in a job.

He’s done very well to get us up to the top and playing good football and for that he needs credit where it’s due, as do the players and back room staff.

I’m still not a fan, but I’m happy to be won round if he continues to improve.

All I know is, we don’t play again until the 29th, not sure what our position could be, but I’m expecting we’ll be out of the top 6 by the end of that game, if not before.
I haven’t changed my mind, prove me wrong!

Ok, so I like most, was very angry with things, but I give it out, & I can take it back.
However I’m not going to at this point, until we are promoted, too many times I’ve been Dreaming of, what if, & then boom! So let’s see how things go, 5 games to go!

He has done a good job so far this season, I'm still critical of his lack of apparent ability to change games when plan "A" isn't working. If we do get promoted then he will obviously get a stab at it next season. One would hope that he has learned from his mistakes and makes a better fist at the Championship than last time.

I do get the feeling he is a bit of a yes man when it comes to Ehab, and it was Ehab's decision to treat KPL in the way he was, and McCann went along with it.

TWT as always, so it will be interesting to see how things play out.

I agree with this. McCann's biggest challenge will be how he handles having a squad that's NOT one of the best in the league.

I still am dubious about his tactical nous, but it does seem he's got better at firing up the squad in the last few weeks, so he's clearly learning.
