It’s disgusting. I’m not going to make a club jibe about it though as it’s across the spectrum and it’s a society issue rather than a football one.

For me, every PL player should make a stand by locking their social media accounts as a show of collective solidarity. It might be enough for the SM platforms to actually take some proactive action in terms of pre blocking racial abuse before it’s even published.

Yeah agree with this. It’s fukin **** that it’s been left to the individuals to sort out for themselves rather than the SM platforms being proactive, but if big football stars **** down their accounts, the SM companies will soon take some action to ensure it doesn’t happen.

Whilst I'm only kidding, wouldn't it be great to see them deposited in the middle of Brixton with nowt but a sandwich board with their "views" painted on it ... Die Hard With Diarrhoea...

Exactly mate unfortunately no clubs players can escape it the way it works now especially on twatter.

I see Thierry Henry last week came off all social media in protest. Not heard anyone else of note follow suit yet though.

Mad init, you post a fukin copyright pic and they all over you in seconds but posting disgusting messages under an anonymous mask and it's like no worries peeps crack on.

It'll happen eventually I reckon, ya twatter and Facebooks requiring proper I'd to sign up.

Its the reason I gave up with Facebook eventually, kept shutting down my profiles cos I won't have a real name on there.

Whilst you can set up an anonymous SM account without any form of ID these twats will continue to do it. Some of them can be traced via mobile numbers of email accounts, but plenty can’t as they use disposable addresses and chuck away sims.

Let’s not forget many of the abusers are literally kids btw, which is a sad indictment of where we are as a society, but it is what it is.

Your last point is on the money ... and the blame for that more often than not rests with the parents ... no child is born a rascist, merely curious and observant of differences... takes an adult to poison innocence.
