Are they same model as the ones we were talking about on the Threads thread?

Still tempted.

Although my Mrs no longer has Uni days discount, She does have on called graduate days though, 25% i think.

Yep. Terrex GTX. There’s a few different models, I had the swift R2 with that continental rubber on the sole. Best traction I’ve ever had.

The ones I’m looking at and the ones @Saints for the Win has got are Terrex GTX trail maker, which has got a Traxion sole (which I think is still made by continental)

The continentals are so sure footed on wet rock, so I was reluctant to go onto another sole. But if saints says they are good in that area then I’m in <ok>

This and the Threads thread are my two favourite threads this month.<laugh>
Hilarious both of em<laugh>

So congratulations to the op's<cheers>

These are my old crates. They’ve been brilliant and I must have done over 1000 miles in these, using them from everything from hiking, dog walking and general everyday use.

The actual shoe is in fairly decent nick, which is rare for me as I usually completely trash the uppers. But sadly the lugs are worn almost flat and I’m starting to slip on rocks and gravel in these now.

Will just keep them for pavement wear and treat myself to a new set of wheels for my Snowdon trip <ok>

That Styhead tarn below? The further one is Sprinkling Tarn.

On the way up Scafell Pike if so?
On my way down from Old Man Coniston. No idea what that Tarn is called. There was some mad man swimming in it! Bear in mind this was yesterday and there was snow on the mountains.

I do a weekly sea dip, absolutely brass monkeys.

Those mountain tarns would be colder at this time of year though.

Wouldn't be surprised if that bloke had either been on or was going on some mad fell run. They're hard case nutters.

Those fell runners put my hiking to shame. Streaks of piss zipping up mountains when I’m watching where I place my feet so I don’t break an ankle!
