He could easily have had a couple more, and I think his goal would have been saved comfortably had it not been deflected. His finishing has been off a few games now.
Agree, KLP got lucky with the goal. His finishing generally hasn't been as calm since he came back in the team - one aspect of his game which he needs to work on, although to be fair that applies to all our strikers. But still a totally dominant performance by defence and midfield today.

Some great football, total domination, never looked in trouble, only criticism we could have had many many more goals, shooting, heading practice rest of the week but 3 good points, others draw which was good however still good way to go yet with their games in hand but great day overall.

Some lovely football with lots of opportunities created - such a pity about the wasteful finishing. Still, the first and third goals were brilliant and the second came from some very good play by Magennis. If our strikers are going to have off days (and I think they certainly did today) it's better that they save them for games like this and really sharpen up for the stiffer challenges ahead. A pretty good day for us really.

A great day for us and the right result at Posh. We continue to be playing well and creating numerous chances. If we miss a few that’s no big deal if we win 3 nil. It’s not a big deal when you win 1 nil. It’s all about winning now and we need a few more yet. I don’t honestly see at least one of our forwards getting a game if we are promoted. We will need steadier players there. Let’s cross that bridge when it comes. Just got to keep grinding the wins out now and get the job finished.

I thought the same thing before he scored. I think he’ll do well in the Championship if we go up though, along with Wilks. I don’t see any of the other strikers stepping up to the next level though.

Not to much interest in Peterborough/Sunderland game not unless we get 3 points. Has we all know they both can’t win so we have too, however I’m sure many will presume we will which is natural to think when you are top. However it won’t be easy, they sound a very well organised side who have let only 1 goal in, in their last 4 games, drawing with Doncaster and beating both Oxford and Shrewsbury. However we are a very decent side ourselves who may have to be patient to break them down. Any type of win will do. Now is definitely the time to start putting the pressure on.
Told you all it wouldn’t be easy, I knew with their recent results it would be hard, good pre match summary Johnbo, mind you it could have been ten you idiot. I think I will leave my pre match thoughts for when I’ve had a drink, I talk more sense. Mind you glad I got it totally wrong

Well, that was an enjoyable match to watch, a professional, league leader’s performance, confident from the off, 3 points never in doubt, no squeaky bum moments here. Admittedly, North’n were poor, but you can only beat what’s in front if you, 3 - nil, should/could have been more. Thought Josh played his part well first half, KLP’s pass to Elder excellent, easy afternoon for Ingram. Great Easter points haul for us. Onwards & upwards, UTT.

In McCann we trust.

(Edit, the last bit, may be the wine talking. Hic.)
