Honestly, reading in here is mad. It’s like a Saints match thread. A player (politician/country) does one thing bad, then they’re crap. They do one thing good and they’re Messi.

Big picture and time. Plenty more good and bad to come.
Lol didn’t say Boris was Messi (though he always looks messy), but he did just play a Messiesque pass through the middle to leave our striker one in one with the keeper.

Unfortunately that striker is Shane Long.

Entirely the uks fault for business going south.

The EU on the otherhand have also been showing their colours with 2 actions of their own:

1. Using ireland as a card and having to backtrack because they messed up.

2. Threatening to stop az from exporting their vaccines because az are not kotowing to the EU and giving them the dosage they promised.

I cant say the EU have been blameless in the vaccine palaver

My comments are about Brexit not the vaccine but I agree that the EU hasn’t covered itself with glory, reference the vaccine. But, as I pointed out a few weeks ago they ARE sharing what is produced with other countries, whilst we are suspected of keeping everything to ourselves, so from that point of view I can understand them getting upset.

Have seen a couple of reports, today, about more companies closing down their business, in the UK, and reopening in the EU, because of the damage caused by Brexit.
I find it somewhat ironic that some, who voted for Brexit to stop foreigners from getting some of our jobs have, in these instances, handed those foreigners ALL of the jobs.
It also represents a loss of taxes for the government, as they will be paid in the host country and a loss of revenue for landlords, as they lose their tenants.

Shocking

“The report published last month - concluded that the country "no longer" has a system rigged against people from ethnic minorities”

“It also said family structure and social class had a bigger impact than race on how people's lives turned out”

The former is clearly the result they were tasked with arriving at

Obviously the latter is a fact, but to say it has a bigger impact when the report is on racial equality is diversion

The report we need on Equality of Opportunity and Social Mobility can cover both as well as the abolition of the Public School system. I won’t hold my breath

The BBC are in the **** this morning with Johnson. Ted Hastings saying “God give me strength, a bare faced liar promoted to the highest office. What has happened to us, when did we stop caring about honesty and integrity?" has been seen as a political comment on this governments integrity.

That’ll make their DG seriously upset. After all the effort he’s put in licking Johnson’s arse and some scriptwriter slips that one past him :emoticon-0102-bigsm
Either they’ll kill off Hastings now or cancel the programme (though they can’t do that because it’s one of the few things that many intelligent people actually watch on the Beeb now ....)

Last night’s episode was just incredible television. One of the best things I’ve seen on TV for years. It’s funny, we’ve all got used to bingeing series on demand, but I honestly don’t mind waiting a week for another dose of Line of Duty. I don’t think my heart could take more than one episode at a time!

On your wider point, I think Jed Mercurio is pretty fireproof nowadays. If he had to take his stuff to Netflix the BBC would suffer enormously.

Right enough there Chilcs although Mrs Jab would happily watch the lot in one go. It's a pain the arse we can't access iplayer overseas to catch up although there's usually a stream can be found. Below the message I get. I'd pay a subscription if available and reasonably priced. Seems to me the Beeb are missing out on a much needed income.

At the moment, you aren’t able to stream or download programmes on iPlayer while abroad.

I use it for viewing US stuff in uk, but you can use it for things like iPlayer etc. Not a VPN and doesn’t slow down your speed.
