The Mauritianian Good film with a great cast. Tahar Rahim is excellent in it. Foster is also good. America doesn't show up at all well. 8/10 Check out A Prophet for more Rahim magic. Solid 9 for that one.
PI and enforcer team up to find a missing porn star (helped by PIs 13 yo daughter) some genuinly funny dialogue and decent action scenes. All round good way to spend a couple of hours on a quiet night
I binge watched The Flight Attendant this week. Surprisingly entertaining if far-fetched at times. Still well worth a watch. Also saw Copland after about 10 years. Very underrated imo. Good film, the only thing that lets it down is the ending, very underwhelming the way it's all wrapped up in 10 mins. I think that's what spoils the film but otherwise very good - stella cast, the plot and acting is excellent, especially Stallone holding his own.
Covid has really kicked in now with films and TV, not a lot of good stuff out there and I've rewatched every bloody thing.
Started to watch Your Honour after reading about it on here, ditched it after about 30 minutes. Does it get better? The premise just seemed implausible to me. Why doesn't the kid just phone the incident in at the start? He's got several very plausible and reasonable ways to explain what happened without incriminating himself. I just couldn't get past that
Like most TV you have to ignore the idiotic plot and just go with the flow, the point you've picked up on only gets worse.
Also watched justice league synder cut. Much better than the movie released a few years ago. Still **** tho 6.6/10
Isn't it filmed in some weird aspect ratio? ****s me off that I have this big TV and they keep finding ways of not filling the screen.
Yeh Square box, I watched in 4k and just zoomed the TV aspect which was fine. Get on godzilla v Kong mate that's great lol
