Not all of the vulnerable have had their first jab yet either. Added to that, I've heard anecdotal evidence that some of the most severely ill people now are in the younger age brackets. And then there is Chris Whitty's warning that if we do have a third wave here, the virus will find the unvaccinated. We shouldn't let our guard down for a second until the entire population is vaccinated. Or the R rate is 0 or lower.
3 points is more important than the performance. I'd take a defeat and a win against Posh and Hull rather than 2 draws. Get the points in the bank and look forward to derby days next season.
My view, rightly or wrongly is that the only way we are going to get out of this is through vaccination, therefore I would like to think everyone would have it. I understand that not everyone sees it that way but frustrates me when I read some of the reasons people give not to have it, which are the ones I refer to.

When I had Corona I had bad headaches for two or three days.
I don't normally take medication as a rule but because of neck damage i sometimes suffer from severe headache if I've slept awkward (and been pìssed)
The only thing that works for me is ibuprofen.
I took these whilst suffering headache regardless of my mrs, a nurse, protesting I shouldn't be taking them due to expert advice.
That expert advice did a U turn a while later and advised ibuprofen.
I've never been a fan of artificial sweeteners or margarine for example. Health experts warned against sugar and butter etc
Now sweeteners and marg are considered the worst carcinogens to eat. Go figure.

I agree and that is why I would like everyone to have the vaccines, if they can. We can then back to some sort of normality, even if it means still wearing a mask etc in certain situations.
Is that because they haven't took up the request to book/attend because I thought that everyone had been contacted? Not good if that is not the case.
Well, its to do with a change in who they classify as vulnerable. So maybe its not quite accurate to say that not all the vulnerable have had their first jab. My Mrs was told to shield at the very beginning and then the criteria changed. But she's a teacher too and they're really exposed to it all. Either way, I think everyone needs to be very careful still.

Sorry, schools closed was probably the wrong phrase. I know they were open to key workers because my grandchildren still went to school. What I meant was that they stopped classes unless they were children of key workers. The last point I was making was that they were sending their little one to nursery, as if they were key workers but keeping older ones off from the primary classes!!!

It appears that you do not like taking any medication, which is your prerogative, whereas I take what I am advised to by the experts (as I have done since my heart attack 7 years ago, which I believe has given me this extra time).
I do drive a diesel car, which I have had for over 10 years and I would love to change it for a more beneficial to the climate but can't afford it - could you please help
With regards to the last comment, I don't do social media at all, too confusing for me at nearly 66, I will leave that to you younger/cleverer ones. Being on this site and occasionally on the "other side" is more than enough for me.
