I'm just wondering , our performances have dropped off the cliff with no discernible improvements when ever he alters the personnel .Could it be we've peaked and he can't reignite the earlier positive performances , albeit sporadic at times or are the players burnt out ? Hopefully this must needed break will help us into the final stages. I'm resigned to having to accept a play off rather than automatic but frustrated at being so close

Absolutely

Well he must have something about him as we've punched above our weight for a while now. This is with loan players and selling players.

On the other hand, he doesn't seem to be able to affect the game after kick off and now that teams are pressing us, he can't combat that either. I think reaching the playoffs is a very good return though, all things considered. Unfortunately all the other teams around us are in better form at the crucial time.

It has been noticeable to us on here that he cannot react to in-game situations. Indeed, there have been occasions (eg Millwall last season) when it was obvious - during the return away match - that he had learnt nothing from the first game.

I think that he must be a decent to very good coach of players, but a tactician (at this level) is not his forte.

Like him or not (ok not!) but Thomas Frank would have us clear in the Top 2, as would the Norwich Manager, Daniel Farke.

In total, so far 565 people have voted on Planet Swans - Sack Cooper Yes or No

64% have voted Yes (361 to 204)

Agreed his game management and tactics are noticeably poor and he doesn’t seem to be learning quick enough.

I’m not sure if sack him though, maybe his assistant Mike Marsh isn’t providing enough help in those regards? Managers can have more than one assistant, maybe if he’s open to it, we get ourselves a tactical assistant?
