Couldn't be less fussed at this point bruv. Why I was chuffed for drawing real in the cl. Lost all interest in the league
@Diego you're old What famous person have you met? @FosseFilberto has met every single famous person that was ever born in a 20 mile radius of Leicester
Met Ray Parlour on a beach in Portugal. He was next to us with his 2nd Mrs and 2 girls. I had spurs t shirt on and he was well nervous ... guess he thought I might start something in front of his kids. When they went to the water with their mum I went over and said I worked with a gooner and could he sign a post card to her cos he was an idol of hers. He thought I was taking the piss at first... until I said something about how hard it'd be not to burn it!!! He really laughed. Then one of his kids cut her foot on a rock so we gave then a plaster. That's as close as I got to meeting famous folk (apart from some spurs book signings).
Something about Wednesday, I always look at them and go "proper English side that." Dunno why, think its the kinda odd name, proper stadium and stuff. Just classic.
Not quite true ... but knew Lineker from playing footie as a lad ... have shared a table with David Gower in the pub when he first started out as my local was The Cricketers next to the cricket ground (surprise, surprise) ... grew up a street away from Grace Rd ... and on that theme, Jonathan Agnew was a regular in our offy when he was a young player with Leicestershire ... he had a weakness for jelly babies ... we used to sell sweets from the old fashioned jars ... and used to bunk off school in the summer and play snooker at Osbournes in the city centre as a teenager ... Willie Thorne used to practice there before he bought his own club ... lovely fella, always gave us a nod ... ... oh ... nearly forgot ... Engelbert Humperdink was my dad
