I see the naysayers are missing the point by a wide margin.
Freedom to negotiate foreign TV deals would not be restricted to just Liverpool. There’s nothing stopping Spurs, Arsenal, Everton, City etc negotiating a similar deal in their own right, and reap the benefits that accrue from such a venture.
What’s that you say – it’s not easy for clubs with little or no Domestic/European pedigree to gain a significant market share of these TV rights?

We have the pedigree, a global presence and a global fanbase.
Why should WE not be able to tap into these markets (which we ourselves have created) by selling our “brand” to our potential customers?
