1/8 now.... it's bloody nigel adkins.

this is so underwhelming. club finances are going to take a battering.. cant see anyone wanting to watch his brand of football, or get people back in the ground.

cracks appearing in this ownership/setup now. i feel like there's worse to come. some of the comments on the academy are alarming - "integration" usually means some or part of is slimmed down.

I have no idea how Adkins will pan out - he was't great at Reading, but the Hull fans rated him, and this stuff about his 'brand' of football seems a little out of sinc with a lot of fans who say his football is attacking. Anyone remember that guy we got from Duchatalet when Chris Powell was removed. At the time, the appointment provoked an uproar, but he kept us up, and it was Ducahatalet removing him to bring in the dour Peeters that started the mayhem.
i get it that Adkins isn't everyone's cup of tea, but if you read the forums, there isn't anyone who will unite the fanbase one hundred per cent. What unite's us is the team being successful, and if Adkins does arrive and get's the team to win regularly, that will be a good start. Come on AHLL, chill out and see what happens. And bear in mind the alternative to Sandgaard was Farnell and the minions.

I always thought that Adkins came across well and knew what he was up to.

Wasn't he part of Les Reed's rebuilding of Southampton?

He was not someone I would have put on my shortlist, but I think he is a good fit in the plan to develop the club m

I can't see why Jacko would want to join Bowyer in Birmingham. The time will come when he will be unero numo somewhere, and he will learn more working under another manager until the time comes when he goes for the manager's job somewhere.

Back-to-back promotions from 3rd to 1st tier <applause>
Only the great Jimmy Seed ever did that for us, about 85 years ago.
Adkins also had a win-rate of 54% with Saints, after managing them for 124 games :emoticon-0165-muscl

If Nigel Adkins gets us promoted even once we'll love him too (well, most of us will) <whistle>
Welcome to CAFC Nigel <ok> <hug>

PS:
I am sorry that Lee Bowyer has gone.
But it's done. And it seems it was his choice. He's already made a winning start at Birmingham City.
