Wild food tends to also grow a few yards away from the verge, so it's not a problem to pick the non dog piss ones.

I wash all my foraged food. But @Tobes is right about avoiding those verge side ones tbh. If you're walking your dogs up there, then it stands that plenty of others are too. Ponky's top tip, don't eat dog piss flavoured wild garlic
Particular one is on a bend about 10ft back from the road ... more chance of squirrel piss as there are woods just to the left ....
