Probably because the police didn't want to take on a bunch of raving loyalists, but are man enough to engage in pulling women to the ground.

You're sounding naive if you believe the police behave impeccably.

I've been on countless demos and to even more matches over the past 40 years and have seen them behave aggressively plenty of times.

The old bill could have simply handed out fines like they have done at countless parties that have taken place without wading in like ****ing morons.

Some moronic high up flat top made a stupid call and instead of saying oopppssss we ****ed up they've carried on digging.

Tonight another old bill is being investigated for "distribution of inappropriate electronic images" connected to the case. He had been active in the case. Last year 2 old bill involved in the investigation of the murder two sisters in a South London park were sacked and threatened with prosecution for posting images of their dead bodies "as a joke".

The Met old bill have pissed off a **** load of women ... has the feel of them digging a big ****ing hole for themselves after the Stephen Lawrence murder.

It took 8 years and a major public inquiry for them to accept they were wrong and try and put it right.
