I didn’t think was anywhere close to being a pen? Keeper dropped the ball hits the wolves player and goes away and just stumbled into him when landing.

If wolves player had control and alisson takes him out then sure, but given ball was away from both of them and with a defender, which happened before alisson even touched the wolves player, not sure how you give that as a pen. He’s not impeded him in anyway

I think we can sit off a bit and hit them on the break now. If they leave space that is. Certainly the full backs could start deeper I suppose.

Or maybe he just tells it as it is. It was an obvs penalty, unreal that VAR also chose to ignore it, same as both did on the Thiago challenge on Moutinho.

Thought some of our first touches and passing was very poor in that first half. Thiago and TAA being the main culprits. Widji seemed to be daydreaming at times and Alisson looked nervous. Having said that we scored and they did not so looking good at halftime.
 
Henry has shown mane just has to slot that.hes taken too long and then failed to take it round the keeper.

100% the goal is open there for instant hit for bottom corner.
 
Interesting from Henry. The difference between top top strikers there, don’t really think about what foot you use to go round keeper but makes sense. Use his right for touch and next step can slot it in with his left foot.
 
Commentators desperate to say boly did nothing.

Hes off his feet and straight legged so if he does make contact he breaks ankles.

Clearly got the ball yet wolves didn't complain when they dived v fabinho he won the ball standing up

Wasnt a straight leg, he almost pulled out the tackle and caught him with his toe.

Why would VAR get involved if it was a yellow card then ffs <doh>. they only get involved for red cards...

so just to clarify VAR should have got involved to give him a yellow that’s what you’re saying?
 
Get Jones or Keita (good help us) on for Thiago; he's not played great tonight and looks like a red card waiting to happen!
