He has been used on either wing and through the middle hardly ever used as a No9, but when he last played No9 for Valencia he scored 16 league goals plus cup goals back in 2017
As Doc says he was rarely played up front. Kind of puts the magnifying glass on the lack of Spanish forwards if he is the go to #9.
I think there would be a few takers but not for the price we paid. We got him as he was the one signing that was supposed to come ready made. He is clearly one of our better players but hasn't put a run of games together due to niggly injuries and a bout of covid. Our coaches like to give them game time with the 23's before reintegration back in to the first team.
If he hangs around next season and stays injury/illness free he might just turn in to a very good player to have in the team.
I've just got a feeling that he hasn't enjoyed his time here for some reason and would be open to a return to Spain. Difficult as I'm not sure there is enough money over there to tempt us. Maybe a swap deal if he went.
So far Atalanta, AC Milan, Sampdoria and Juventus are all rumoured to be chasing him fro Italy and in Spain theres almost every team except the Galacticis. Thats how shyt he must be and I believe he actually likes it at Leeds but disappointed not being able to show what he can do. I for one hope he is still here next season.

Think Rodders was a sort of statement signing and in that respect it worked.
Maybe Llorente & Raphinha wouldn't have been so keen had we not looked like a club going places. My view is let's keep him and hopefully we see the best of him over the next 3 seasons....if we do, he could end signing for another 3 years as he seems the sort who'll able to play top flight football well into his 30's.

No one is realky enjoying life at the moment. He is very well paid and needs to effing man up and put some effort. He just trotted around aimlessly yesterday doing nothing. So far for me i can see a player there but a waste of money this season. Been better off signing a striker
