There is no plus side, Burnley were safe as houses and you're potentially losing out on millions of pounds of revenue from missing top 4. A top 4 spot you should have clinched if you beat those Black and White mackems and Burnleh. Tobes' reaction is appropriate
Bit surprised how much they’ve struggled this season. They were decent last season and of course Dyche got them into the europa league the year before that. they seem to be finding a bit of their old form again, and just in time really as it looked like they were in danger of getting dragged into a relegation battle at one point
They're punching above their weight even being in the league tbf, same as Bournemouth were. More so with the new owners soon to destroy them
It must hurt him that if they'd just beaten us like he was expecting then they'd have been playing for 2nd place today. The only reason we're still in with a chance of survival is due to Everton. @Peej thanks!
Godfrey did nothing wrong tonight. Davies should have appealed for the obvious ****ing foul for their first, and the second was just a worldie, that gormless ming won’t hit another like that in 3 ****ing years. Holgate was ****ing mince. Quite why he keeps picking him as a RB in home games against lesser opposition I’ll never know. Away from home against the better sides I get it, he sits in, but you need your RB to be capable of producing something in the attacking 1/3rd at home, at that ain’t him. Should have been hooked at HT. Iwobi has the football intelligence of Alan Carr, he’s utterly ****ing woeful. As predicted Doucoure is a huge miss and overall it was another massive missed opportunity. Our home form is an embarrassment.
It was £28m as there’s no way he’s hit any of the bonus clauses. He’ll end up on Fulham’s bench on loan next season, after they stay up.
I have always thought that under Carlo he could take his level up. He hasn’t, he isn’t driven enough. He is gone in summer.
Thought Godfrey should have stepped towards wood. Looked like he was worried about him knocking past him, second was a worldie. were so slow, so, so slow.
It was £28m too much. I've still no idea why you paid so much for him. Pretty sure we were all telling you he has zero football brain when Everton came in for him. The lad has got plenty of commitment, speed, trickery etc, but his end product is about as bad as I've seen from any attacking player. He runs into dead ends, puts the ball into row Z from crosses and always seems to find the wrong choice of ball to play. Cut your losses and get rid
hasn’t had the starting product either. says he wants to play his best position, gets a chance and was ****.
I’ve always said he was utter dogshit. I thought he had pics of Wenger wedged up a Labrador or something. I could never understand how he got game time for you tbh. We bought him at the death of the window, as we missed out on Zaha, and it was always going to be a terrible piece of business. I tried to give the lad the benefit of the doubt, but aside from a handful of games he’s been predictably turbo gash.
The frustrating thing with Iwobi is that he's got bags of speed, he can go past players and always looks to get in behind to create dangerous situations, yet his decision making is ****ing woeful. We stuck with him for years hoping he'd develop the intelligence to be able to choose a final ball that created a goal, but he just lacks that final and ultimately fundamental piece of the jigsaw.
