Police investigating the disappearance of Sarah Everard are searching a home and woodland in Kent following the arrest of a serving Met officer.

The 33-year-old was last seen in Clapham, south London, on 3 March.

The policeman and a woman were arrested at a house in Kent on Tuesday. Searches are being carried out at a building in Deal as well as on land near Ashford.

The Met said it was "shocking and deeply disturbing" that the arrested man was a serving officer.

Ms Everard's family have been kept updated, the force added.

We don't know that it was a murder.
It seems like the policeman's car and that of his missus were both towed today, too.
That suggests that they either believe they used one of them to transport her body or one of them could've hit and killed her. Possibly both.

Might have run her over and then chucked the body in the woods.

I've removed your first paragraph Saff (NOT the bolded bit for anyone reading now). I don't wish to bring attention to the site. What GC do is down to the site owner.

Sarah Everard, 33, was last spotted on CCTV walking alone on the A205 Poynders Road, from the junction with Cavendish Road, in the direction of Tulse Hill.

The time was about 21:30 GMT, 30 minutes after she had left her friend's home in Leathwaite Road, Clapham.

Her walk home to Brixton was expected to have taken her 50 minutes.

Detectives said it was unclear whether she returned to her home address but think she may have walked across Clapham Common.

The cop has been named by one of the tabloids. Just be careful lads, social media is already getting a bad press over this.
