I’m definitely going to hell as I thought was hilariousI watched the interview. Nowt surprised me about what they both said, I think Harry & Meghan are both better off out of it. The Royal Family have chance here to name and shame and drag themselves into the 21st Century, but as always, I doubt they will. As for the media, bunch of shhites. It's like watching Diana all over again, no lessons learned from the past. Luckily Harry's got his head screwed on and made his own choices, despite the dumbnuts removing his security without notice. Thankfully that didn't get out at the time, otherwise you'd have had every fruitloop in the world heading in his direction.
Didn’t watch it but the racism part seems to be the headline this morning. Just find it strange that to escape racism they’ve upped sticks and moved to the US, which of course doesn’t suffer from institutional racism?
I don't think they moved there to escape racism, I got the impression they moved there to escape the system, I assume the psychology of miles, that young runaways normally tend to apply.
The interview also highlighted the British Media, how they reported on Meghan compared to similar situations reported on Kate. It was a systematic abuse by the media in this country.
Their first intentions was to go to Canada, but something occurred, I think due to changes implemented by the Palace, as they had still intended to serve the public. Then someone (celebrity I think) came forward and offered them residence and security in California.
I think they have now settled with money left to Harry by his mum Diana. I will let others fill in the gaps, or correct any bits I've got wrong/misunderstood.
They moved to Canada and intended to carry on the work of minor royals. The palace then told them they wouldn’t be able to and also stripped them of their status along with the security detail that went with it.
If that wasn’t ****ty enough, the Tory rag Daily Fail exposed to the world exactly where they were living. Harry said that those two things coupled with an impending covid lockdown made them feel extremely vulnerable, so they upped sticks to LA
