I see a survey of 'Express readers' overwhelmingly said that nurses and co shouldn't get a pay rise as they are only doing the job they chose. Many go above and beyond in their care for the public, even more so throughout this pandemic.

It’s ****ing nuts, I suspect most of these ****s were out not long ago clapping very loudly and posting all over social media, to make sure their neighbours and people they know how they appreciate them more.

I called this ages ago though, there would be a narrative out there that would try and turn as much of the public as possible against the NHS, it doesn’t take a someone with a university degree to figure out why it’s happening.

No need for Hello, it's on English TV 40 mins of every hour. How about Scotland? You still stuck on The sex pest v The ginger amnesiac? That is so yesterday's news

**** knows, I stay away from as much news/current affairs programs as I can these days - have done for a year and pleased to say it's quite refreshing not having a load of old bollox shoved down your throat.

Pick and chose what I want to read and when I want to read it from around the net.

It was totally expected and I’m ok with the fact that my colleagues and I will be painted as the scum of the earth, causing pain, suffering and misery to poor old ladies who need help. I had the same at BA when, after industrial action, we were labelled as scum for ruining sick kids only chance of a holiday at Disneyland or stopping people getting to their parents funeral.
It’s the way the right wing press operate.
However I still expect Sir Boris to come up with at least 2% and save the day through his generosity.......

If the "vocation" argument worked, MP's should all get a pay cut. Unless they don't like the job. In which case they should resign

You don't need it when you have informative and impartial news views from Not606 QPR members!

Following on from Strollers post...these are the going rates for Band 5 ( which includes me).

For the levels of 'expertise' required that is shameful. My 22 year old grandson is a manager in New Covent Garden Market, it's hard work and 6 nights a week but he's on £33k a year. Sometimes you wonder how things can be so skewed, you really are a star mate...

I will also add that for the first year my job was listed as a Band 4 role, and only through long campaigning from our union, was rightly recognised as deserved of the higher band.
The only way my money gets made up is by not having a break during our 12 hour shift or when I do incidental overtime.....ie a job runs late and turns the shift into a lot longer.

It’s genuinely heartbreaking that public can be so easily manipulated. This **** needs to stop now!! Soon enough it’ll be too late.

Simple ****s mate believe simple things. I will never forget my local newsagents giving out free copies of The Sun during the referendum, with headlines like 'the eu to ban kettles'. Unfortunately MSM is predominantly right wing. Say things enough times and people suck it in. The thick decorator who was on site said " I voted to leave, we didnt fight 2 world wars for all these asians (used a different term) to come over, we can chuck them out now". It would have been wasted breath to try correct his geography.

Same as Steels. I watch the business news and a bit of CCN/Euronews and some BBC (although you know my feelings on that) :)

Brexit was nothing to do with racism and xenophobia Bob, you know that.
