I said they have made mistakes which have lead to deaths but nothing like what some have said. Whereas the EU (Macron/Merkel Astra comments) have/is leading to unnecessary deaths. Yet no one ever mentions or condemns that?

I'd say mitigating circumstances. Eventually there will be a Covid Enquiry which will cover all this.

Yeah, it was a bit of a 'tongue in cheek' comment from myself. I was just basing on the fact she was being asked to recall events whilst leading a country through a pandemic. Now, if a court or evidence finds her guilty of misleading parliment and the public, she should **** off, obviously we dont apply the same values in England, infact we defend such actions.

Again though, just because other people are murderers doesn’t make Harold Shipman ok, which is essentially what you’re arguing. It’s mental.

Hmmm I don't reckon there will be and if so what's it matter, look at the Patel enquiry, brushed under the carpet to the tune of 340k. Johnson just changed his own rules on that one. I just feel there is a massive amount of hypocrisy from certain people regarding this 'misleading' farce.

Oh ffs now Gary Neville calling out the government for their treatment of the NHS, it shouldn’t need footballs current or retired to point out their failings.

Thought the U.K. had the worst death rate per capita? Plus the worst economic hit? And yes what I will give this government is they gambled with buying the vaccines, and at the time it was a gamble, but it’s paid off big time, thankfully as well they didn’t contract it out which has caused so many disasters and let the nhs sort it and they’ve worked miracles, and how have they been rewarded?

Will, you have to accept that all governments are basically the same. They do some good things and crap things. They never will please everyone. Under Labour we had some nice new school buildings and hospitals but Blair took us into an unnecessary war. The Tories rolled out the vaccine better than any other European country but have problems in other areas. That’s how it goes.

Oh I've been on ignore for a long time. He actually doesnt debate with anyone when you read back through posts. He just insults people who don't agree with his views. Hes quite a sad little character really whom I have a small amount of sympathy for.

You see Staines, there are many I disagree with on here over various topics but nobody bothers me enough to ignore them. That would say more about me than it did them. I disagree with a lot of what Goldy says but I totally respect his views as he articulates himself well and never resorts to insults. Sarcasm yes but never insulting. I hope and try do the same back to himself. Ellers is just different gravy my friend.

I won’t give him the pleasure of putting him on ignore....he just spouts absolute drivel and makes up friends as he goes along...can’t stand the bloke myself.....but I feel I hide it well.

After spending some time on social media today it already seems the smear campaign has started.
“Lazy”, “Greedy”, “lucky to have a job” and “should be ashamed” are things that have already been said about NHS workers and the threat of industrial action.
Personally I find the 1% on offer, demeaning and degrading for what I do and what I have seen. I’ve cried, I’ve sweated, I’ve been scared, I’ve worked a 12 hour shift, not had a break and finished 2 hours late....all for £12.73 an hour and sometimes think is it all worth it ? (even with the free cake)
Appalling when you put it in perspective and think of the likes of Rishis Mrs, one of the richest women in the UK who claimed furlough for her staff and the billions wasted on Tory friends during the pandemic.

Seems the applause and adulation are finished for now and the boo boys are out in force......bring it on lads...see you on the picket line

What I would like to see Stainsey, is a general strike (except for the NHS) in solidarity of a reasonable raise....2.5% would suit my thoughts (I would like to give more but realise in these times maybe not possible).

It is a daydream, because the working population is too scared of losing their jobs, and being replaced by the many people on the dole. That we get every week from not is what the Tories are counting on.

Anyway, there must be money we were promised 50,000 new nurses and 50 new hospitals in the money we save from Brexit, surely that money would pay for a pay rise
