Lots of Leeds fans thought following the Sheff Utd model was the way to go.

Fortunately our player recruitment was far more ambitious and we brought in two from Spain, a German and a Brazilian who are all a class above anything you'll find in the Championship.

Cost £80 million...but I'm sure Sheff U have spent similar and have ended up with a squad suited to the League they came from.
